Hello.
I'm new here (obviously) and wanted to try to get some attention. This is very much unlike me, in fact, I'm a hermit at age 25. I have lived in this town for a total of 5 1/2 years and I haven't met anyone that I can feel close to, and as a result, I think my sanity is slipping a bit, so I'm trying to keep in contact with society a little by joining this forum.
A little about me, for anyone who cares:
I live in the Midwest (USA), but don't especially enjoy it. I have been a pagan for about 3 years, but I am not a Wiccan. I enjoy adding aspects of many religions to my spiritual practice. I maintain an altar, and work some magic and deal with deities from many different faiths. I study the tarot (and have made a nice dent in creating my own deck!) and herbalism, crystals, stones, trees, plants...etc, and I am very interested in spirit guides and trying to define the Universe as a whole.
I live with my boyfriend of 9 years, who is a beginning Shaman, and our ever-growing collection of rare and exotic houseplant friends. I don't handle authority well, and as a result, I get to be a stay-at-home artist who gets lots of time to develop her supposed talents.
I am a writer and a visual artist and a musician and a poor speller and a vegan. I'd enjoy meeting other vegans, but don't worry... I don't preach to anyone unless they started it!!! I like to think of myself as open-minded to any and all lifestyle choices, so I hope to make some new friends on here!
I really enjoy industrial-goth-techno-rock music, and am drawn to the somewhat darker things in life (vampires, for example) but I do have some hope left in me and try to maintain a healthy, "live in light" approach to everything.
Well, I do hope to make some friends here. I've tried a few other forums, and I just didn't seem to fit in (story of my life!). I have a really good feeling about this place. So, that's all for now.
