:fpeek: :chattin: This may seem as silly thing to some, but I just wanted to talk about storms.
I really don't mind them, I know they have their purpose.
But sometimes they can get a bit overpowering and scary! :holycow: :jawdrop: :hairraise
This storm (Bill) made land fall somewhere in Louisana. *To bad it didn't go to Texas :hutone: and give relief in the area, I know they could use some of this rain*
I hope and pray that any in the way of storms are kept safe, even if in losing material things, things can be replaced...
I also wanted to Let ya'll know i'm shutting :gagged: down for awhile, these here fancy boxes (pc) cost :money: to much to be fool-hearty with. :doh2:
So I'll stay busy with the small :tv: and leave the :lookwhats
to rest while we go thru this mess, gonna get some reading done also.
Ya'll have fun and stay safe. :jamsessio

Aww! We'll miss you until you return!!
*tries a storm-pushing spell*
Go storm!
Go to the other state,
Where water is needed,
And the land is as dry as...uh... slate... !

Huh... there's a tropical storm? Didn't know that. I'm just happy that my section of Colorado is getting rain nearly every day. (And the thunderstorms are spectacular out here. Love 'em! :D )

The western edge of the storm just scrapes us. Today is grey and gloomy, with a breeze and sporadic sprinkles, but nothing major. If it wasn't on the news, you'd never guess there's a tropical storm nearby. LLast year we rode out Hurricane Lili, and Andrew in 1992. *Turns on Paul Hogan voice* Now THAT was a storm!

**grimaces** Ohhhh dear. Hadn't realized that's where it was. **sends safe thoughts to Wanderer and PB (even though they really ought to be all right, seeing as it's just a tropical storm.... then again.... for some reason, southerners just don't build houses the way people from the northeast do.)**

Eeek! don't let me scare you!! It's more toward Louisiana than Miss..........I imagine that Biloxi is just getting lots of rain and probably Tornado watches......heck, I'll check the weatherbug.......
Yep, watches and rain......nothing to worry about.........really........

No it wasn't life threating here or anything, my yard is a river, but it'll flow off or soak in...
What bothers me are those all of a sudden little rain storms that seem just a rain and then....
*#%BOOM%#*
all the lights go out and then back on, you have to jump up and unplug everything you don't want to loose, especially after replacing everything with new stuff because of the last major hurricanne (George ).
So it's easier to just turn it all off and leave it unplugged till it's all over cause the little rests in between are just a joke to lull you into feeling safe enough to be foolish! :imout: :wah:
Now if they'd have named it Billy Bob or Billy Ray, well I'd known he'd been a whooper! :lookaroun
And it seems to gone up over where I am, even though we did get some thunderstorms and lots of rain...
Oh, and i live in a house that was built by the government back in the 1940's, it's safe enough I guess, but it's old...
And there's these 100's year old oaks and they are always throwing down something they have no need for any more...
Any way thanks for talking to me and the storm pushing spell AmbivalentMirage! :rubhead:

The Tropical storm formerly known as Bill has produced a damp, dank, dark day in my neck of the woods.......We've got T-storm watches.....Tornado watches.........Flash flood watches.......Keep an Eye on the dogs ( so they don't pee on the floor because it's raining and they might get wet) watches..........

I was totally clueless about there being a T.S. All my family live in Houston and I like to keep track of the storms during hurricane season
Glad you got through the storm with you computer intact! :) We had a thunderstorm up here week before last and it took out our cordless phone and the phone jack it was on. Now all i have is the corded one upstairs. Its never been like that in the year we've been here.
The weather's just been odd this year :bug:

Ah, you've noticed that, too! When is the official storm naming committee going to realize that the dorkier the name you give them, the nastier they get? Anybody remember Hurricane Hugo?
