Gods, I love the wind!!! Today, the wind was howling, causing the trees to bend and random objects to fly. I just couldn't resist sitting down on a rock for about thirthy minutes or so and bask in the wind. Of all the types of weather, windy days are what relaxes me the most. No matter what my mood, all I have to do is just take a walk in the wind. Unless its an icy breeze, it helps calm me and relax me and I find that I can better focus on the good aspects of life. While sitting in the wind, I better appreciate nature and the world I live in. I can watch trees bend in the wind for what seems like hours at a time. I can catch the sweet scents of the summer flowers; I can smell the scent of nearby rivers and streams. It's wonderful. :)
I've come to realize something. Now, I don't want to sound like a tree hugging hippie, although there is nothing wrong with being one. ;) Nature dwells around ua at all times. It is constantly in our faces, yet for the most part it goes unnoticed. Humainity as a whole tries to ignore. Because by ignoring nature we can delude ourselves into thinking that we have conquered it, or somehow have risen above it. This, I think, is humanity's folly, and its curse. By ignoring nature, we robe ourselves of that very thing that makes us human. For nature resides within us as well has without. If you turn a blind eye to the natural world, to its beauty, than you are denying what makes you human.
Sorry if I have offended anyone with my rant, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Anywho, take it easy everyone!! :)
