I'm addicted to caffeine! :needcoffe
We like coffee, well not all of us, but a lot. :) I don't think I act any different, and my fiance, who is also a Druid, does not act any differently than someone you might find at a coffee shop. Just relax and have a good time! :D

Ah! Go raibh maith agat (thank you). :) Can you tell I know very little Welsh? I'm much better with Gaelic and Japanese, though I do intend on learning Welsh someday! :D

GO buy a simple little book called "Thorson's Principals of Druiry" Written by Emma Restall-Orr, co-founder of the British Druid's Order. It's an easy read, and a small book. It'll give you quite an insight.
I actually prefer an extra large Double Espresso Mocha with a shot of raspberry syrup with no whip cream. MEGA caffeine! :nyah:

"Thank You" in Welsh is "diolch" pronounced dee-olk. "Thank you very much" is "diolch yn fawr", pronounced dee-olk en fahr. "No thank you" is "Dim diolch"
If anyone asks if you know Welsh, reply with "Tepin bach" (a little bit).

myrddyn - raspberry syrup?? in coffee???....*shrug* oh well....
i don't know welsh....i've made a few attempts at scotch gaelic...all i can remember (and forgive the spelling) is:
thank you: tahbellat (tah-beh-lot)
the fire is warm: ha me blah aniel (ha-me blah ah-neel)
i suppose in certain situations either of those may prove handy...
i do have a *great* cd called celtic lullabye that starts with this amazing 4 part acapella (sp) welsh lullaby....incredibly moving even tho i have no idea what they're saying!...the language is amazing! i love it...how well do ou speak it, myrddyn? anyone??

Oh I hope no one thought my reply was meant to be in Welsh? My reply was supposed to be in Gaelic! :) Anyway, Diolch ;). I always like learning new phrases in different languages. I'll keep the "a little bit" one in mind!

Well as I mentioned before I'm not fluent in Welsh at all but I'm sure some other druids around the forums are much better at it than I! I only know Japanese and some Gaelic. Though I'm sure the lullabies are quite beautiful! It is an amazing language isn't it? I saw a class at universalclass.com to learn Gaelic, maybe there's one for Welsh too? I didn't check, but it's worth a shot. :)

Hey, don't knock the Raspberry Espresso Mocha until youv'e tried it.!:javaswim:Remember, an espresso mocha is like a Latte' made with chocolate milk instead, so the raspberry is really good in it. Trust me, you try one , you're hooked!
As to the Welsh, well, tepin bach (a little bit). Definitely not fluent (I wish!)
I have also studied a little Scotts Gaelic as well, but less than I have Cymraeg. Forgive the probable spelling errors:
"Leigh an durachd de na muinteire bi an ard lagh"
Let the will of the people be the high law.
We had that inscribed on our meeting table in a small re-enactment group I was part of in Phoenix.
My wife and I have an abundance of Celtic Cd's and dearly love the lullabies. Try and find a CD called Celtic Twilight 4, it's ALL Celtic Lullabies. Excellent!

We have the four original Celtic Twilight Cd's, they're all great.
And, back on subject, when you do go have coffee with these Druids, just talk to them like we're chatting here. Ask questions. Druids LOVE to answer questions! If you have a different viewpoint, say so. Druids LOVE new viewpoints! Just be you and all will be fine. Remember, you put three Druids in a room together, and you'll get at least nine different oppinions. (more if it was Twig and I in the same room on just ONE topic!)

I am still just amazed at how much better this forum is than any other I've seen or been involved with.
I'm injoying it so very much. Just a question, the one wanting to do the coffee thing with the Druids in Phoenix, are they still meeting at Willow House? that's one of the places I really do miss leaving Phoenix.
Twig, Hi!!! (((((((((HUGS)))))))))))
Peace,

 I drank that exact drink for years. No whip cream and everything. Sometimes I'd spice it up and make it a Breve.
