With Vvalentine's Day approaching, I thought it would be interesting to talk abut Love (:
What's your favorite romantic movie?
Your favorite romantic book or story?
What do these choices have to say about how you view love?
Are the story lines/movies based in real love or fantasy? This is a hard question, but may bring up some very
interesting angles on how you look at love as a whole.

My favourite romantic movie is City of Angels.
It is a fantasy love movie as she falls for an angel and unlike most films, love does not always have a happy ending.
I think it says alot about me, I was always looking for the fairy tale and have spent most of life looking for a wonderful, fantasy world. Still looking.

I'm not into movies, much less romantic ones. I think they are sappy.
What it says about me?
Real love is not like that, that is so fake and gives people a somewhat false idea of what love is.
Ok its not totally fake, I've had some romantic moments with my husband but compared to everyday things they are few and far between.
Real love is staying best friends after you've been married for 8+ years and still being able to tell each other ANYTHING. I even tell him when a pretty woman that he'd like to look at is passing by.
Real love is not minding when he does something like pick his toes, it really is a small thing.
Real love is when he washes his hands after picking his toes because you don't nag at him for doing it.
The stuff in movies is just as real as TV or books. They are ACTORS!

Romance? Blech. I like horror or freaked out movies, no romance. Go figure. :)

I'm not much into romantic movies either. The stuff in the movies just usually doesn't happen to everyday people. I had completely given up on love and a good relationship and then low and behold out of nowhere came this wonderful man. I was 26 years old and had a 9 year old son and had never been married when I met this man. He is my best friend. We have been married now over 8 years and we still hold hands and kiss each other when we leave and when we go to bed at night. And let me tell ya, there is a lot of people out there that can't find this kind of relationship. Just lucky, I guess.
