There is this kid on my bus that is a complete geek and worse, a stalker! He has been chasing after this girl (that obviously hates him) all year. But just because I actually listen to him on the bus and I'm nice to him (I couldn't be mean if my life depended on it :) ) he's starting to like me! I'm afraid he'll chase ME around next school year!!! Got any suggestions?
P.S. He is unignorable!!! I've got to learn to be mean when I need to be.

I had one of those once... I turned mean. In retrospect, I feel really badly about it. Even if he's not the love of your life, or even close, he might turn out to be a friend--you two might have more in common than you think. Remember that he's got feelings too, and even if you might wanna smack him upside the head sometimes :) it always pays to be sensitive in love matters. :) Maybe just gently explain to him that you don't feel that way about him and you think you guys are better suited off as friends.
Just my 2cents. :)

I suppose I should clarify...
When I was in high school there was this one guy who, by all accounts, was a HUGE geek...he was slightly overweight, wore thick glasses and just happened to be the life-long friend of the guy I was trying to date at the time...well, after spending many hours with him and this other guy I got to really like him. He was painfully shy, but terribly sweet. Wanna know what happened to this "geek"? I married him, had three kids :D cool, eh?

These guys are going through the time in there life where this years geek could turn out to be next years STUD!!
Just let him know you are willing to be his friend if that is the case!! I do not mean you need to be a BUM MAGNET or anything but if you can talk to him COOL! If he is a stalker it would be best not to be an enemy just tell him what you think if he is a friend he will like it!!
8O HIGH SCHOOL WAS SOME KIND OF TERRIBLE!! AH the emotions flowing so wildly!!

Oh Artemis, this guy is probably attention starved & totally insecure about himself. He probably even knows he's thought of as a geek which makes him try all the harder. It tugs at the heart strings doesn't it?
If it doesn't matter to you-keep your distance. If you feel compelled to give him some of your energy, than there's probably something meant for you in it. Be mindful of karma & remember that no deed good or bad doesn't make its way back to the doer.
You couldn't pay me enough money to relive that era of my life!!

Hey, most people regard me as a nerd, although I must say I don't really look like one. I have had a few situations where people thought I was stalking them when it wasn't so, and when they felt uncomfortable when I stare at them.
I'm just the kind of person who likes to analyse everyone, and I do this with everyone, all the time. I tend to stare at people while I do this, but I'm looking at what specifically make s that individual so special. And it's wonderful when you've found it!
It's all part of my empathy quest, ya know...
So, in short, don't reject him, it can hurt a lot, I tell ya. Talking to someone never hurt anyone, and if you really have nothing in common, you'll grow apart as a natural process. From my experience, I can tell you, people who youd never expect it to be, might be your best friend the next day, so take care. :D

Can someone please tell me what is wong with being a geek? I am considered a Freaky Geek at my school. Only b/c of what im into and how I dress.
All of my guy friends are geeks, well, all but three of my friends, that i accually consider friends are girls. but, they are "strange" in their own ways.
I love hanging out with geeks, they usually, after you get to know them, have soemthing so intresting to say! I have hour long conversations with some of the "geekiest" people.

After all, the norm is much like a point in geometry: so incredibly undefinably small that it can't truly be reached. Chasing after the norm constantly makes you crazy, to my opinion. Of course, it's a nice thing to do when you have tons of cash, but that could be spent on better things.

Please don't ever learn to be mean!!! Being kind is a great quality!! I often get teased at work....and home too, about being too sweet to everyone. At work some of the nurses are rude to the lab/pharmacy...everyone and vice versa. Well I know that they too are busy so I am extra nice to them. Always complimenting their work and thanking them profusely and you know what? They do respond to it. Energy is contagious, you tend to get back what you release, and I like the nice happy kind!!!
Ok, now the fluffy bunny, white lighter jokes can commence freely...really I don't mind!!!

Once there was a fluffy bunny who ran across another fluffy bunny, and before you knew it,, there were fluffy bunnies everywhere- and the world was a beautiful place.
See Armetis, you too could be a fluffy bunny.
Peace & fluff
