Subscribed Forums?

Whats this thing with the subscribed forums and the subscribed threads? On vB userboard? Just wondering.

by subscribing....you just get a notice in your "User Control Panel" (Which is accessed by clicking on Profile up above) if there is any activity/new messages in that forum/thread. :D
