Guardian Angels

Okay i really wasn't sure where to post this... so i chose this board. Hope thats ok,
anyhow.... I was wondering if anyone knew how to find out who your guardian angel is? I followed something a while back,which was to find out the name of your guardian angel,it involved closing your eyes and completely clearing your mind... i can't remember what went on because it was some time ago,but i got the name Pat! But is there a way to find out for sure who they are,apart from going to a spiritualist medium. My mom found out her guardian angel is a nun from going to a medium.
Does anyone else know who there guardian angel is?

I don't have a guardian angel to my knowledge, I have a guardian spirit who's been with me since I was a child, he's always just been there, never really had to find him... Sorry, my rambling probably isn't helping much.. Perhaps you could tryrepeating what you did last time, and see if you get some more info this time?

I think you might have been better posting this in the new pagans forum, there are some threads in there already to do with guardians.

I am really sure about guardian angles. I have guardian spirit...a kukaburra bird. And a dragon familiar. sorry could not be of more help. Mediation might help you "find" your guardian.

hiya
i have a guardian angle and i know it wenevea i gt angre i lose my temper and smack someone but now i get voices in my head and they put me in a white room , when im in this room i dont no whats going on in the outside and then i hear a vouice that tells me to calm down and take deep breaths then i wake up and im calm . this is my guardian angle telling me to calm down so i dont hurt any1 i like ,

I asked one night as i was falling asleep and she came to me in a dream..... it was my grandmother.... she watches over me now, she died of breas cancer when i was 4.

I think our guardians are very personal and you will find out. But it maynot be an angel unless you feel very strongly connected to them, it may be a diffrent spirit. I guess i really shouldn't list my grandmother as a guaridan angel, but it feels right and good to call her that. I also have spirit guides and protectors.

There are practical processes in several books that I own that I found really good. The first book I used, which worked the best for me, was Ask Your Angels by Alma Daniel et. al., which is a non-denominational work. I highly, highly recommend going through that book to get yourself connected. Silver Ravenwolf's book Angels-Companions in Magick also provides an alright method. For those who dislike SRW, I did find that this book was better than most of her others. I find it's more applicable though after going through the other one.

The best way I can suggest has to do with creative visualization and the ability to meditate and open yourself up-- vague, I know, but the idea is that the angels are trying to get in touch with you anyway and will take the avenue that you give them to come to you.
