I've not read that one, tho I have had it recommended to me. If I could recommend a book, I've found embracing the moon by yasmine galenorn to be incredibally helpful.

It's not a "how-to" manual, but rather gives you a general background of the movement, and an idea of some of what's out there.

It's an excellent book for beginners, and was required reading for me. :-)

Another book I'd recommend is Ronald Hutton's Triumph of the Moon. The first couple chapters are a bit dry, but it picks up after that. Hutton goes into the origins of Wicca, and has done some excellent research, solving "mysteries" that just a few years ago, most figured we'd never know the answers to.

It is a good book to read for historical backround on withcraft and wicca. A good beginners book would be by Scott Cunningham...Wicca for the solitary practioner, it contains alot of how to and exercises and info a beginner needs.

I've heard some complaint hat Drawing Down the Moon is out of date, but I recently started rereading it and having found anything I'd consider out of date yet.
