Thank you! :) Does the second Triad have a name?

The second triad may have a name, but I'm not aware of it.

When we get to the Four Worlds I can give you names and associations for all the triads and how they work, but we're not there yet ;)

Thanks for clarifying. :) eesh, I'm on my toes here, waiting for more lessons. :D It's all very fascinating. (oh--I wasn't trying to rush you there; take your time, you're doing a great job!! I just get a bit overenthusiastic sometimes. :) )

Well I've been extremely busy getting some last minute preparations together for slostice festival next week, so it may be awhile before I have a chance to think about what I already have studied about the second Triad and have comment and questions to ask. Just a heads up to let you all know I'm still with ya!! :)

But for those of you enjoying Revelations insights, discuss more please!! Ask some questions! LOL! (wink, wink) Am I a trouble-maker or what!

The fourth sephira is called CHesed (Heh'sed, where the H is 'ch' like in Bach) Chesed means Mercy. Chesed is a reflection of Chokmah, and as such is masculine.

Out of Chesed, w move to the fifth sephira Geburah (ge boor' ra) Geburah is feminine, and it is a reflection of Binah. Gebruah means "strength". It is not necessarily phyiscal strength, but the strength of conviction, power, the strength to make decisions. Geburah takes the expansive mercy of Chesed, gives it passion and form, and then gives birth to the sixth sephira.

The sixth sephira is Tiphareth (tif'a ret). Tifareth is generally considered to be masculine, although I personally find Tifareth to be more or less neutral. Tiphareth means beauty. Because Tiphareth lies in the center of the Tree, many have called it the Heart of the Tree. Tiphareth is a sephira of balance, of "centeredness". It is represented by the sun--the center of our solar system.

This completes the second triad on the tree. IT is a reflection of the first, but emphasizes the necessity of union. From here we will move to the final triad and the final sephira of Malkuth, where physical manifestation finally takes place.

Thanks Rev!!! :D That was brill!

Can you tell us anything more about Chesed? Its just Ive always found that 'Mercy' is such a strong word and therefore wanted to know more...

Ive always believed that Tifareth was neutral too! as it is in the middle ~ and the heart of the tree also!
I've always felt very drawn to this sephira ~ Tifareth and Yesod are what first sparked off my interest and knowledge of the Tree!

Can you expand at all on how this second triad emphasizes the necessity of union? I have never heard that before and am very interested.
:)

That is beautiful! I think I've got it allot more now ~ thanks :)

So kindness/Mercy and Strength create Beauty! :sunny:

.... also connotes 'overflowing'. it is by definition something which goes over the top - think of a spring of water. thus a 'chasid' (hasid) - one who exhibits 'chesed' is one who goes beyond that which is required - in other words, gevurah, or strict judgement, or 'din', sticking to that which is specified and appropriate, is thus modified by chesed in that chesed is "lifnim mi'shurat ha-din" - beyond the border of the law - in TiFEReT, which combines characteristics of both.

you see why i think a knowledge of hebrew is important!

We have discussed very briefly the Supernal Triad, the first three sephiroth on the Tree of Life. The Supernal Triad lies in the realm of the sublime--this triad is beyond all human comprehsnion. But once we move past these sephiroth, we move down into areas humans can attain.
