View Full Version : Energy for the Money to Get Flar's Car Fixed

Well, he did manage to cook his engine and it needs a new one, at a minimum cost of $1,000. I've just started to get my head above water and still haven't gotten quite enough to pay my property taxes, so this hurts. I was really hoping that I was headed toward not having to work two jobs but it doesn't look like that's going to be happening. I won't be getting medical insurance due to the cut in my hours and I really need to make a doctor's appointment for an ongoing problem which I'm sure will result in more expenses for prescriptions - and it looks like I'll be putting that off again.

Please send energy that we're led to the right mechanic for the right price and that the money comes from somewhere.

It would be alot better if he didn't owe money on it, since it would be easier to just look for another car.

Thanks (((all))). I'm not having a good day. I feel like I may as well just toss all of my money into the toilet - one of which doesn't work, btw.... :rolleyes:

I'm not seeing any way that I CAN even help him out with this, after buying groceries and paying a few bills here and still trying to keep my other house going.

Ironic that I was thinking a day or so before this happened that maybe I could squeeze out the money to help him get it fixed - when it didn't need this much work.

Yes, and it's very discouraging. I was hoping not to have to work two jobs for too much longer and now that seems out of the question.

This week is going to be incredibly difficult because I am working the next seven days straight and Flar has a doctor's appointment in Tulsa and several other things to do that he's going to need rides for.

And now all of the gauges on my car have quit. We think we can fix it ourselves but it's going to take some doing. I found a message board specific to my car and it seems to be a manufacturing defect :mad:

Also - no one has actually LOOKED at Flar's car yet. Silly me, holding out hope, but I'm hoping that he's just assuming that it's fried and maybe it's not so serious, so if you could direct energy to that purpose it might help.

My son's Toyota did something similar and didn't need an engine replacement, so maybe Flar's doesn't either.
