Adding apples to my basket

As a teenager the whole point of my existence was to question, to ask, to ponder. That time in my life was the why and the how, the what.

I have just turned 22 years old, I've had the time to love, to work different jobs, to study different things. I feel like the wondering is done, it's time for me to realize my thoughts, my feelings. It's time to materialize what's been brewing in me for a long time. This is adulthood, a time of making things happen.

However, I don't want to lose my sense of curiosity, to question things, to evolve, to grow. Let me not forget what it is like to be a child, let me not lose the enthusiasm of adolesence, let me remember the crones, allow me to one day grow into this type of wisdom. But most of all, let it be fun in the process!

I don't want to start taking myself too seriously, but I want to start feeling the ground underneath my feet as I walk the path. I want to gather apples for my little basket and still have the strength to carry it all the way up to that wonderland.

May I have the strength, courage, wisdom, and love to enter this new phase of my adult life.
