help please ????

I wasn't sure where else to post this so here it goes, i think i'm in the right place.

I'm going through a crisis of ...i don't know what to call it.

I follow the norse gods and goddesses and have been travelling to the path of asatru...but for some reason now i am having trouble determining wether i am astatru, heathen or a norse pagan and just which way to turn.

I have no doubts about my gods and goddesses that is one thing that i KNOW ( thank goodness) but i'm really unsure of which path to take????

I'm hoping that some of you will be able to offer me some of your insight, be it opinions or from more personal experience.

Ooh. Well, I think most of us go through some confusion or 'changes of heart' at some point during our craft lives, when we're not sure EXACTLY which way we ought to go. I'm kinda feeling like that a litle myself at the moment! My advice would be to either just do some good old fashioned research into the different paths you feel drawn to and see which one you feel happiest with. Alternatively, you could ask the God and Goddess to somehow reveal your path to you. Either way, good luck with finding out. :)

Does it really mean a great deal to you to be branded in one way or another?Reagardless what you choose to call yourself it boils down to YOU are YOU and calling yourself onething or another isn't going to change that.Be happy with what you are and the other stuff will look after itself in time.

it's not really to do with calling myself one thing or another, it's more to do with the different parts involved with the different paths . One thing i have learnt after researching the three areas i asked about is their differences , that is what i am confused about which path i should take. Which i know only i can answer, but still i figured other peoples experience could be a help to me :)

All you need to know, I think, is that's normal. Most of us go through it at one time or another I think. Of course you know only you can choose which way to go :) I can't offer any good advice beyond "yep I understand". I've been going through the same thing recently :)

Hey there....

You are going through what all of us go through at one time or another. Feeling a little unsure as to a path to follow isn't an inidcation of it being wrong but an indication of some possible changes.

Firstly, i feel that we cannot truley understand or relate to a specific religious belief until we have experienced that system of belief in our own way. I have read about, and gotten involved in the practise of a few belief systems and this has allowed me to take bits and pieces, which i strongly believe and agree with to form my own individual and unique path...

What you could do is get involved in a couple of different paths. Read and record your thoughts, impressions and anything you find useful you can take from that path and move on. You may feel strongly about a specific path and that is great, you may also find that connection will weaken....another sign for change....or at the least, a re-evaluation of your foundations.
