I have a rather large piece of blue colored peacock ore. Until I saw a small chip of it in a metaphysical shop recently, I had no idea what it was. Anyway, I've tried searching for more information, but all I can find (besides the composition, etc.,) is that it's related to the third eye chakra. Tell me anything you know about this beautiful stone, please! :fpraiseyo

I have a piece of this too, and I love the way it looks in sunlight.
I looked around, and here's what I found on it.

Bornite is an excellent healing stone. It can be used to assist in the building of the structures of the physical body and to renew perfection to the growth of the cellular composition and arrangement.
It performs a major role in the amelioration of the origin, nature and course of dis-ease; it is quite useful in the treatment of imbalances in cellular metabolism and in alterations of tissue formations within the body.

Associated with peace, social justice, goodness, fairness, truth and equality. It fosters caring on a worldwide scale, teaching us to be concerned with the welfare of all beings on earth.

This Mineral is mined in Mexico. Peacock ore is an old miner's term, coined because of its characteristic colorful, metallic bronze that rapidly tarnishes into its rainbow of colors (blues, greens, copper, and purples) when exposed.

Peacock ore is gorgeous and is great to use for chakra work because it contains the colors of the chakras.

I will caution folks that there are imposters out there. Using electric currents and special acid washes, it can sometimes just be a piece of malachite or silver metal fused with the color.

Take heart though, most peacock ore on the market IS true ore. So be happy with your piece and enjoy!!! :D

I had a polished piece of bornite, once upon a time. It is a soft blue, and looks like an agate slice - swirls of white and blue layer through it. It also had a small crystalline opening in the surface. :) Beautiful stone.

I've never heard of this stone before. It sounds very cool and I'm going to go see if they have any at the local rock shop.

I have 2 pieces of this. I was told by the person who gave me the first piece that it is a stone that promotes happiness & cheerfulness.

I have been in need of much happiness and cheerier mood lately.
I found me a nice specimen on a site yesterday calling me.
I hope that particular property holds true.
