Depending on who you ask America might have even been settled as long ago as 30000 years ago. Most American Indian mythology states that they've always been here --that their creator gods created them in this land. I believe that if the American Indians had come from another continent we would find some sort of journey narrative in American Indian mythology. This type of story simply isn't present.
