I purchased my pendant. Do I need to charge it or consecrate it before wearing?

You don't ever need to charge or consecrate anything. If you want to, feel free. It's often a good idea to cleanse it first but even then, there's no one who's going to slap your hand for not doing so :)

Rain is right, you do not 'have' to do anything in the Craft you do not feel comfortable doing.

There are those who never consecrate or cleanse anything, or better yet who never even cast a circle.

Keep in mind though, that objects can pick up negative residue from all sorts of things. Those who crafted the item, those who packaged it, those who sold it to you, those who looked at and touched it before you purchased it, etc.

With that in mind, I couldn't bring myself to not cleanse almost everything I own personally, but the choice is of course entirely up to you.
