MM! The best thing you can do is go to a search engine and type in Isis or Egyptian Goddesses...they should be able to provide you with scads of info. As far as the black panther goes as part of Wicca, i think you may have something there... one of my brother's spiritual familiars just happens to be a black panther. As for whether or not they play an actual role in Wicca, I couldn't tell you, but I'll ask my brother and find out if he knows!
Blessed be!

Merry Meet, Unique!
The Black Panther has no role in Wicca beyond what any other animal does. However, the Black Panther is an emblem of stregnth and pride among African-American Folk. Black Panthers can be either black Leopards (In Africa) or Black Jaguars. (In South and Central America) Both kinds are associated with shapeshifting,(Many shamans from both areas are believed to be able to shapeshift into a Panther) magickal power, and subtle wisdom. Among the Nahuan Speaking people of Central America (The Mixtec, Aztec/Mexica, Zapotec, Toltec, etc..) The Panther is associated with Tezcatlipoca who is one of the Creator Deities associated with night, ecstatic states, the night winds, sorcery, music, and visions. He's considered extremely chaotic and dangerous, yet compassionate and a good teacher as well. I'm unsure of any African Deity associations. Anyone here know of any?
