Ok. I need some opinions...

All of you know my feelings about this site and this community and I dont want to do anything to jeopardize it.

So, I need some thoughts. What if I created a totally seperate site that sold mysticwicks stuff. Like t-shirts, mugs, hats, the whole deal..

Would you guys think I was a crook for doing this? I for one think it would be a blast to do it. And maybe I would be able to quit my job. :rolleyes: Yeah. Maybe. :p

No really. I just wanted some opinions before I jump the gun.

why not? i don't see a problem with the idea, mol won't be twisting arms and we could be helping cover part of the costs of this little happy land and have a bit of fun with the stuff. sounds like "win/win" to me

I love the idea, mol! Soon we could all be sporting nifty MysticWicks paraphenalia! And when it comes to the cost, please remember that there are those of us out there (Canada, Australia, etc) who don't use the US dollar and therefore everything is doubly expensive! :( :)

Well, if I do the corporation thing and get an employer id #, tax id, etc...then I should be able to buy wholesale and keep the costs down as much as possible.

Well, not that it looks like you need anyone else to tell you "yes, yes, yes", but yes, I think that's an absolutely fabulous idea! There's nothing wrong with making some money. It's not like you're taking advantage of us or anything. And I definitely think there's a demand for it. I for one would rather buy my pagan supplies from someone I know - to help you guys make some money rather than those I don't know.

BTW, don't forget the t-shirts for the little ones! :D Uh, size 2T and 6-9 months! :D Seriously, I was in one of our local "Goddess" stores (as my 2 y.o. calls them) and told the proprietor about this site. Not sure if she looked it up, but this site is so great, I just want to tell everyone about it!

have you registered "mystic wicks" as a "trade/service mark"? if not i'd suggest it as a good idea no matter what you decide to do. the name is your creation and you have the right to protect it just as i protect my former "brattleboro arsenal" dba name from when i was actively in the gunsmithing business.

Just an update...we are working on this. Basically I think we are going to open up a shop online and carry all sorts of pagan goodies...incense, candles, oils, yad yada...as well as the MW merchandise. Eventually we want to open an actual store front here in our home town but we are starting out here!!! More details as they come availiable!! Thanks for all the support!
