I know this is trivial but.....

Compared to most threads I've read here, this seems trivial in comparison, but all of a sudden it seems that I have developed the worst luck in the world.
It started in June when my car broke down. Still haven't diagnosed it's problem, but my father gave me my mother's old car and everything seemed ok. Then that car started to develop problems, and now it's constantly breaking down no matter how many repairs we do.
We used to get food stamps because I was the only one working and not making much. Well, my husband got back to work, but he doesn't make much at his job either, but social services said we make too much money now and kicked us out of the program making it hard to get food for us and our two kids. I also owe my electric company @ $1600 from the time when my husband didn't work, and I couldn't afford to pay them.
My job has recently cut my hours, and my husband and my incomes are not enough to cover everything. It all seems to be happening at once. Even my lawn mower broke down! I jokingly told my husband that I thought we have gremlins, but I'm starting to think something is seriously out to get us. On top of everything else, I'm starting to get sick!
Hubby wants to try a purification ritual, but it just seems like more than just the two of us can handle. I sure could use all the positive energy anyone can spare! :sniffsnif

It just seems trivial to me compared to some such as children being ill, or needing surgury, etc. But my situation is definitely stressing. Luckily, my grandmother is being nice enough to lend us her truck until we get at least one of our cars fixed. Now I just have to solve the money problem. Maybe all of your positive energies can influence my father-in-law to lend a helping hand when my husband calls him tomorrow. Maybe :) .

The only person I could think that would wish us bad is my exboyfriend, but we've been split up for six years (coincidently the same # of years I've been married :bigredblu) . It wasn't a good breakup, but they seldom are. He supposedly moved to North Carolina with his mother. The only other person I can possibly think of is a girl that is jealous because she tried to get my husband before he and I got together, but he liked me. :whatgives

:hugz: Right back to you, Rubi, and thanks. I'm actually starting to realize how serious it really is. Everything has just kind of been surreal lately, but it's really starting to sink in now. My husband just sent a message to my father-in-law, so maybe he will help us out.

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone. My father-in-law came to the rescue and gave us enough money to bail us out, and my father fixed my car. Work is still cutting my hours, but if i have to, I'll file for partial unemployment I guess. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks!

So pleased everything seems to be turning around. I know what it's like to struggle to survive the daily grind...money for food, money for bills, kids need new shoes, phone cut off, social security bureaucrats! It ain't easy.

Thanx Feather and Hippy. :) The one thing I always make sure of is that my children have everything they need. My husband and I will sacrifice anything to make sure they have what they need. But I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel! It's faint now, but getting a little closer everyday! :bouncysmi
