I'm reallllllly bored and I was thinking about this movie I watched today....It's a kids movie and I remember watching it when I was younger...but this time watching it I had this naucious (sp?) feeling in my stomach while watching it...."The Witches" with Angelica Houston.....and we wonder why Witches have the stereotypes against them that they do!!! has anyone else seen this movie....?? I realize that this is not made to be a factual movie, but it makes people think that that is what Witches are!!! errrrr...just wanted to waste some time by venting...thanks :) Elaine:)

I really like movies like that. :) I thought The Witches was very funny and very cute... the same goes for Hocus Pocus. They give me a chance to laugh at myself....
Also, that's the kind of witch I dress up as at halloween....
I donno.... I guess hollywood's interpretations of witches doesn't bother me in the least, because it's Hollywood. Normal people with good heads on their shoulders SHOULD realize that it's not real. I realize, however, that not everyone out there is intelligent, and those people ruin it for everyone else.

I certainly dont'!!!

I used to love that movie. :) I watched the reruns on HBO the last few days, and I don't know, sometimes I get angry and sick watching the stereotypes, and sometimes I just take it for it is, a silly kids movie. :) Know what I thought the creepiest part was? That whole thing with the little girl getting stuck in the painting, mysteriously moving around. ::shudder:: Deliciously freaky. And Angelica Houston plays the villainess so well. Of course, when she took off her face and became that rat-lookin' thing, I had to sigh.
Now, something that really made me roll me eyes and go 'Huh?' was this email someone sent in to the WB. They were praising all their programming, and the end went something along the lines of, "And thank you for delivering a funny, true-to-life show that shows us what life for a witch is really like. (Sabrina)"
Oy.
