Hello. I'm kind of new to candle magic having tried it a few times after listening to Evelyn Paglini on Coast to Coast AM (formerly Art Bell). My next-door neighbors are about to move away and I wanted to use this opportunity to use candle magic to attract the type of neighbors that I would like to have. What type of wording or chants would any of you use for this type of spell and what candle colors would be most appropriate? Be as general or complex as you like. Thanks.

Here's an excellent thread. You'll totally love it. http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1077&highlight=candle+colors

I would use a combination of four taper or votive candles. Four because three is sacred to me, and one more for banishing unwanted energies.

I would pick out the colors that represent what I would want most in a neighbor.

Since I can become very easily irritated by people as a whole, I would go with the following myself:

Blue - Serene, quiet people who will not be bothering everyone in the neighborhood.

White - Pure of heart and truthful. The less gossip I have to be informed of the better.

Brown - Well grounded and down to earth. I don't want to hear about how they've blown all their money every other day and they are in fear of losing their home. Responsible, in other words.

I would set these three up in a triangle, white being at the top, blue at the bottom right (since that's where west is in relation to my altar) and brown on the bottom left (since that is where north is in relatin to my altar).

In the center I would place a black candle. Black to banish negativity of any kind that I may have not covered in my three selections above.

As for a chant or incantation, I'd come up with that yourself.

When you have decided how to work the exercise, I'd repeat it for one week, starting on a full moon night, preferabley friday. Of course you can't always time things that perfectly, but that's life.

When the candles have burned to the point where they are nothing more than small gobs of wax, I would bury the remains of all four candles on the property to belong to new neighbors in question.

I like that Raven. I was going to go searching but I really like your answer.

Thanks Raven. I think I might skip the burying part. My neighbors have a gaggle of hunting dogs that go off for every little thing. I will not miss them when they're gone. Has anyone seen the 'Halloween" movies where Michael Myers is cursed by thorn, or thurisaz? Can that particular rune be used for evil like that?

Then I would simply bury it near their property, but on yours.

As for the rune, anything can be used for evil or negatively, anything...
