I was wondering which stones are accociated with the god Mercury. I'm making an herbal packet for a friend. He's traveling to see if he can rekindle a friendship (perhaps a little more) with someone whom he hasn't seen for 4 years (parental restrictions, now they are both adults so he hopes they can continue their friendship without the parents being involved). I immediately thought of Mercury, considering this venture will include travel and communication...soooo....any help finding a stone to include in this bundle would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

I'm not sure about stones associated with Hermes but these may be useful;
Hematite- for communication skills and to draw good relationships
jade- friendship, harmony, and safe travel
moonstone- new start, friendship, peace, comfort
Tourmaline- friendship, protection, goodwill; Black/Green- deflect negative energies
Turquoise- verbal communication, joy, social life

I would use any of the following myself:
Amethyst - To absorb negativity, promote tranquility, and open-mindedness
Rose Quartz - To promote compassion, understanding, and tranquility
Flourite - Communication, mental clarity (and if your mind isn't clear, how can your words be?), and travel
Hematite - To ground your friend, absorb negativity, and keep your calm (different than tranquility in this instance)
Quartz crystal - To promote truth and purity in the endeavor
Turquoise - Prosperity, good fortune, luck, healing (in this case, healing of emotional wounds)
Moonstone - Change, communication, clarity
Granted, these stones do have many other qualities, but I have only listed what these have worked for in my endeavors that are relevant to the situation.

I know I'm late, but I would use Hematite and Turquoise. Hematite because it looks so much like Mercury and Turquoise because it's always good for travel. I might also throw a Carnelian in for good measure ;)

this looks like I`m a lot late in this, but emerald is supposedly the stone associated with the god Mercury.
