Well, I am happy to say I am rid of windows now on my trusty laptop. I had my last hard drive crash today. I went to the mat with redhat linux and I have won. I am now up and running...and much happier.
Thought I would share.. ;)

Good man, good man! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I myself have not yet taken the plunge with Linux. I never seem to have the time to commit to learning how to use it. But I tell ya, after doing my MCSE, Linux looks more attractive than ever!! :) :)

P.S. For a project during my MCSE (I did it at college), my partner and I did a project on Linux: Why It Is Better Than Windows. :D ;)

Well, glad to see you are enjoying linux... I don't understand the first thing about linux, I stick with unix, however I don't know much about that either... :) I do understand windows though :)
Anyways my cousin uses linux and she is very happy about it, it is very stabile! Doesn't crash everyday, although it does crash sometimes... but then again servers always do no matter what you do...

Are you using Red Hat, Corel, or Mandrake. I am seriously tired of Winblows and thinking of switching to LINUX. I have an old version of RedHat but am considering MANDRAKE 8.0. I really like the bundle and interface. I have a friend who has Mandrake 7.2 but he did not have the patience to learn it :( .
Just curious.

I am running Redhat 7.1 on a Toshiba Laptop. I had to do some tweaking with sound drivers, but other than that...everything works great.
If you want an Easy install...I would go with Mandrake.

Cool ...
If anyone wants RedHat 6.1 just let me know and it's yours. I also have Mandrake 7.1 plus the LINUX Acccess disk for it.
