Basically, is there a way for me to get my hands on a sword through magick? I will understand if it isn't possible, seeing as all i've been able to do is ask the great dragons to summon up a storm or two, and intensify a blizzard once. Anyway, if it matters what kind of sword i'd be looking for, i'd want a Dai-Katana, or Dai-To... Daisho, i think its called in Japan.

I would recommend you begin your search here (http://www.starfireswords.com/).

The quick answer is "Anything is possible, but some things are not as probable as others."
That being said, you'd have better luck doing a prosperity spell to get yourself some money so you can save up and buy yourself what you want. Just because one *can* use magick to do things, does not mean one *should.* Getting a sword seems like a pretty trivial use of magick, in my opinion.

I believe magic works based on your will and the will of the universe around you - in other words, whether your will to gain a sword is strong or not, someone's will to not lose a sword without being paid for it is probably far greater. There's also a level of probability involved - just manifesting objects disrupts the universe really - it'd be like teleporting, and it doesn't work very easily. Anyone who has the strength and ability to do this kind of magic would probably realize it's easier just to pay for a sword and not do it.

Incidentally, physical swords don't exist in another realm - the things we can physically use exist in the physical realm, and therefore must be created and used within this realm.
In other words, I do not believe there is any "other realm" to summon objects from. You'd have to move a sword from some place in this realm to another in this realm.

Hmm... I sit here weighing how I should reply to this. On one hand I am concerned what the reaction will be to what I'm going to say and on the other hand I am concerned that if I don't say something that ... I will be remiss.
So, I'll say something and try to be as pragmatic as possible. Though pragmaticism is not my strong suit.
Yes, it is possible to call things to you with magic. It requires a great deal of effort and energy. It comes at a price that is beyond that, ususally in some form of karmic event unfolding or things unexpected.
Magic never manifests in ways you expect. It has it's own way of unfolding, one that's rather confusing compared to the rather clear workings of the "mundane".
No, you can not summon an object from another plane of existance by just magic alone. The object must be physically created in this one if it's to be present here. Most often, this is the way that fine artists manifest their works. Michaelangelo spoke of how the sculptures and figures he created from marble were there, he was simply revealing them. It is this revealing that brings the object into this world.
Perhaps what you wish for is something that an artist is bringing into the world. If so, then you may beable to call it to you. But as I said earlier, it comes with a price and magic never works as you expect it to. I choose to let the Gods send me things as they will.
When a pendant that I dreamed of suddenly was present in a jewelery shop and I was given it as a gift when I didn't tell anyone of the dream, I accepted that it was sent to me. It has since proven to be one of my strongest tailsmans and something of a protection to me. Sometimes it doesn't take magic to bring something to you.
Sometimes, all it takes is a request. Stated simply and then you let it unfold as it will. I am facinated with blades, to a point where some tease me about it, but those that are my prized posessions came to me as an unexpected gift that some one didn't expect to be wll recieved. The other was startlingly available when I had funds and it was priced well within my price range. (A fine blade, well seated and a good grip at $25 is a *rare* thing to find.) These came simply because I voiced the wish and let it be. I didn't ask for how these things would come to me, just that they'd come and that no one would be harmed by it.
<shrugs> Perhaps it's a prayer, perhaps not. But it happened.
