I need help explaining to a Christian Chaplain the Wiccan religion. I'm seeking endorsement from him to become a Wiccan lay leader on the Base that I'm stationed at, but words escape me on how to explain to him the religion of the Goddess. Can someone help me?

There is no reason why you should reinvent the wheel to try and explain Pagan spiritual paths like Wicca. I'd print out some of the FAQ files at places like the following, read them all thoroughly first so you know what they say, and then present them as an "information package" to the Christian chaplain at your base.
http://www.witchvox.com/xbasics.html Introductory material and FAQ files on various Pagan paths, including Wicca.
http://www.religioustolerance.org/ has a variety of documents to encourage interfaith discussion. Includes lots of good material on Wicca. Includes an excerpt from the US Army Chaplains' handbook where it talks about Wicca: http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_usbk.htm
http://www.sacred-texts.com/bos/bos559.htm might also be helpful... it's "A Christian Speaks on the Faith and Path of Wicca" by James Clement Taylor, an Eastern Orthodox Christian. It's an excellent article explaining why Christians should not persecute Wiccans and is very supportive of Wicca as a valid religious path.

Hey Aquarius, I wish you luck in becoming a Wiccan group leader even if your version of Wicca seems to be different than mine. In fact most Wiccans seem to believe in both a goddess and a god, not just a female diety. Unless of course they follow the Dianic Wiccan tradition.
