I have just today found out that the young brother of a friend of mine is dying, finally, of renal failure.
Richard is, and always has been, so strong, but we all fear now he will not see the end of the year. He was given the prosepect of only two weeks more life, but he has seen those pass, showing a strength and bravery I could never comprehend.
I know not all the details, as I have only just heard this news, but I know that he and his family are all in great need right now. I beg of all of you to send that energy which you feel you can spare, for what time he has left to be a time both he and those his life has touched can share in what happiness and closeness they can, for they all deserve such comfort.
I have not asked my friend Sam if I may request this of you, for I do not speak to her any more, but I still recognise the great suffering she and her family now endure and the enormity of the loss they shall suffer when he passes.
Please, I entreat you all, send what you can to such a brave, loving family and an even braver young boy.
