I've been working as a temporary employee with a publshing company for a year now. They started hiring the 'temps' in my department as permanent employees. I applied for the position I've been in for the past year (as well as another one), but I just got an e-mail from Human Resources telling me that they've hired someone else for my position. The other position I applied for is a higher paying position (assistant editor). I took a test about two weeks ago (maybe longer), and just found out on Friday that they had graded my test and were forwarding it to the people that handle the hiring for editors/assistant editors. I'm hoping that I get this job, but I'm worried about there being a delay or having to be without work once the new person comes in for the position I'm currently in. So please send energy so that the assistant editor job comes through for me. Thanks everyone.

Thank you all for the energy you're sending. However, I found out yesterday afternoon that I didn't get either position I had applied for. So please continue sending energy my way since I am very angered by the way Human Resources handled my paperwork. As the woman that I interviewed with said, "I dropped the ball with your paperwork". So someone else has been hired for the position that I've been working in for a year as a temp. Then when I asked my supervisor about the person hired for my position, she said that they had to look at the qualifications of this person. Well, if I wasn't qualified, why have I been here for a year as temp? Why was I told during my interview that I was more than qualified? So as you can see, I am very upset about this. The things they're telling me don't make sense. I'm also seeking legal advice as I feel that I wasn't given the proper opportunity for this job. So please continue sending energy this way. Thanks everyone.
