Symbol Identification

I was wondering if anyone knew what this symbol meant, if anything. It came up during a clip art search for something very specific and I'm not sure why. Do you recognize it at all?

I did a search for "fountain" *ahem* for obvious reasons I guess :lol: and it was one that came up. The only thing I can think of is that it resembles water going down a drain.

But Rain you're right. I see a ninja star too. :)

The first time I saw it, the first thing that came to mind was the Ninja star, but in looking at it again I like Rick's comparison to the sunwheel. I noticed that although the points go in one direction, the symbol seems to spin in BOTH directions -

and I like that.

i was thinking it was a sunwheel too, but the six points confuses that idea. a sunwheel usually has four (seasons, like a swastika) or eight (sabbats) points.
