It's me again....
Does anyone know where I can purchase a "INEXPENSIVE" ritual robe or better yet someone who can sew. I am on disablity and I cannot afford the ones that I have come across in the websites.
I really want one.

Well, being on a *ahem* limited budget myself here is how I went about making my robes.

I went to a fabric store and purchaced a pattern for a Star Wars Hallowe'en costume. (yeah, yeah...keep laughing...) There is a pattern in there for a simple shift-type robe and a cloak as well if you desire. You might want to look at a few other patterns as well depending on your sewing ability as the one I used has set-in sleeves and that can prove to be a little tricky. There are some patterns that require little sewing talent at all that turn out wonderfully.

For fabric, I did not purchace any from the store but instead found some nice king-sized bedsheets on sale for really cheap. Stores like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, SteinMart, as well as even major department stores and you might want to also check outlets and deep discount closeout stores such as Tuesday Morning and Big Lots if possible as they all will often have sales on stuff like that and you can get the fabric much cheaper by the yard. I think I spent all of $10-15 on fabric for my robe and cloak as opposed to probably spending $40+ at the fabric store for more or less the same material.

When you make your own robes and such you also have the freedom to make it yours in any way you see fit. You can add personal touches and also it adds more of you into it than if you had bought it. Good luck!

Check out this link:

They have simple shirt and chemise patterns on there that you can make from your measurements, just legnthen them, and they are so simple you can hand sew them together. I haven't done the other ones except the drawstring breeches so read through them and see.
