Does someone have a particular closeness to a God/dess of cats??? Tragedy has struck and I need to ask a favor. :( :( :(

The only cat goddess I know is the egyptian Bast or Bastet. I'm sorry to say i dont have a cat (my parents are allergic) so I've never really spoken to her, But I'm sure she'll help you if you ask. Best wishes for the quick resolution of this problem, whatever it is.

I have a particular closeness not to Bast or Bastet, but to my own cat, and he knows something's up (only because I know what your sorrow is, and he's very intuned with me). All I can say is you're in my thoughts and although there will never be another cat like Momma Kitty, remember you have friends who understand and can grieve with you.
With much love and good thoughts,

Bast is a good one, you might also try Artemis in a pinch (goddess of woodland creatures etc.)

Freya is also a "cat goddess" among other things... you might want to try her :)

So do I cus it's turning out to be more serious than I originally thought. Originally, my cat that I've had forever (it seems) died. Now all but one of my cats is gone cus it seems someone in the neighborhood is poisoning the neighborhood cats. :( :( :( I just hope my last cat doesn't get ahold of the stuff. :( :( :(

Oh Dria, Im so sorry :(, that is so terrible and must be absolutely heart breaking for you and the other cats ~ I will pray for you and your cat & that this horrible evil cat poison dissappears without any more harm. Maybe you could do a protection spell with her?
Please tell me what happens.
Sending you love and light,
Silver V

Thanks Silver. I feel so helpless cus I don't know who it is. Maybe I will consider the spell thing. I'd hate for my son to lose his (and our last) cat.

I will continue praying for you.

Bast is a very good choice, as She will also help seek vengance against those harming Her creatures. Sekhemet is another good Goddess to seek help and retribution against Her creatures. I work with the Egyptian deities almost exclusively, and though I'm very new to the board, I adore cats, and feel the pain of loosing them. Let me know if there's anything I can help with.

Namaste
cat goddesses:
Freya, Germanic/Asatru. Goddess of Love (alike Venus), also cats, also lots more ;)
Bastet (egyptian, Fertility, Dance, Sun, Cats)
Sekmet (destruction, revenge, Cats) she is Bastets dark aspect so to speak
If dealing with tragedy: turn towards your matron/patron
or try to call the cat's own spirit to help.
Blessings

Olmac ppl's warrior rain jaguar god (thought i knew his name but once i find it i will add it), go with him and she will stop...
He also had some wonderful half cat half human children that u can call on... Be careful useing them though, but if you are serious about stopping her, he's your god. ;)
Good luck.
Edit;
I couldnt find his original name but his aztec form is Kinich Ahau, he is the sun god and the god of music, set out a plate of beans for him and invoke his power in your situation.
Of course you could just use Jaguar in your situation, which is probably what you would want.

Bastet (egyptian, Fertility, Dance, Sun, Cats)
Ok i don't wanna be contradicting or anything but as a follower of Bast i'd like o point out a few things
First ... Bastet is the name given to BAST when she is in full cat form therefore it is usually best to call her bast , however sometimes i also make this mistake and it isnt all that important
Second she is also the goddess of vebgeance, destruction .. the protectress, women, lesbians, the rising sun, elightenment, truth, civilisation, bounty, plenty, the enlightened maiden of the triple goddess, creation sex fertility birth physical pleasures, bountiful positive enrgy .. she is also the goddess of the moon ......... she possesses the eye of her twin brother horus also nown as Heru Sa Aset
but i get ur point lol

Goddess of lesbians? Is there any evidence that she was really worshipped as a goddess of lesbians in ancient Egypt, or is this just a modern addition? Just curious :)

yes actually in ancient heiroglyhs the priestesses of bast were known for their erotic lesbian dance rituals and on some statues of bast there are signs of her being goddess of lesbians ... in ancient egypt lesbianism was at its highest in buibastis ( the city of bast)

ITZAMNA (ihtz-AHM-nah; Male): This Mayan god was fond of jaguars, lizards, and wisdom. He was the god of healing, and it is said that he was the founder of the whole Mayan civilization. He taught the arts of writing, agriculture, drawing, and other skills needed to maintain a complex society. He was a mighty god, perhaps a bit aloof at times but what else would you expect from an omnipotent god? He was symbolized by the rising sun and was thought to inhabit the East. Like I said, he possessed a stand-offish personality from time to time.
close enough...

Sorry I haven't gotten back to anyone before now but every time I read this I start crying all over again. So far, I haven't lost any more than the original bunch <knocks on wood> but I still haven't heard of anyone being caught. :( Damn. Here I go again. I really miss my babies. :(

Are you sure your not thinking of the Lesbian tribe? Did you read this Euphoria? For during the Greek city-state period (7-4th century BC) there was a Lesbian tribe... one of seemingly hundreds of warring factions.
