Well last night I had 2 different dreams, (not related to the first I don't think)

All three of these dreams seemed VERY real, nothing like when I normnally dream, in which I wake up and forget almost everything, these I can remember vividly, even hours after they happened)

The first dream I had last night started with what felt like the same guy from the first day speaking to me, though I don't remember that part at all (which makes me think this part was the dream), but then it changed, I was talking to someone else in my room with me, this time it didn't feel like a dream.

I had my eyes closed and was talking, and I asked if they could show themselves to me if I opened my eyes, and when I did, it was my mother!

I talked to her about what it felt like to die, and about the divine, basically she reaffirmed all my beliefs during this point, but the weird part is, my mom is still alive...

After we talked she eventually left and I saw my dog (who doesn't live with me) he was racing after her and looked out the window at her.

Then I woke up, but I was still dreaming (I sometimes get this "Dream-in-a-dream" wake up thing), and it still felt real, I stepped out of bed looked myself in the mirror, and said "wow"

then I woke up for real, looked myself in the mirror, and I looked EXACTLY the same as I did the first time (hair messed up the same and everything)

The next one started out as a deam of me and my friend goofing aaround and swimming, but then I felt this "pinch" (not painful just like someone was grabbing my leg with their nails), the atomosphere then switched again where it felt REAL, I felt this presence wrestling with me, well I didn't know who it was, so when I broke free, I heard my mother's voice again...saying "sorry", I then woke up again, with the "dream-in-a-dream" thing...

Now, I know this wasn't my mother, it felt a LOT more real than a dream, my question is, could this have been some spirit that was just taking the form of my mother to make me feel more at ease while we talked?

I can see why my dog was there, I know animals are more intunned with spirits, so they could have used that as a symbol that this was happening, and not just a dream

Is it possible that you're opening up more to energies or becoming more sensitive to them? Do you do meditation and if so, do you use proper protection methods? Do you use any protective magic?

I can only speak for my experiences - when dreams are especially vivid or "dream within a dream" it's usually because they're important. Sometimes they're warnings, sometimes they're just drawing my attention to something. Since I don't know what's going on in your life I can't tell you what any of that means. I can tell you it's probably worth your time to do some meditating and thinking about what your dreams point to.

And my guess is your mother represented the Goddess, the dog followed her because animals will do that (I don't think that means it wasn't a dream - I dream about my pets often, I do think it could, again, point to the fact that the dream is important). Could she have been a spirit? Uh, possibly. I think it's more likely that someone's trying to mess with your dreams, since they get in your head they can just pick and choose from images and people to mess with. No one can tell you the answer to that, you need to figure it out yourself.

If you don't do protective magic in your bedroom and before sleep, it's a good idea to do so. I have a protective talisman I wear to bed when I start getting bizarre-o dreams, if you are really uncomfortable you might do that. There's no reason to get worried, but there's no harm in being safe to be sure.

Also, it should be noted that it could mean absolutely nothing. Our brains are pretty complicated, our subconscious minds are especially mysterious. I, personally, tend to get a lot of "radio static" at times - in other words I pick up on energy movements that have nothing to do with me and aren't focused, sometimes that disrupts my dreams because that's when I'm most sensitive. Sometimes a dream is just a dream, sometimes it's just that static, sometimes it's just a meaning you need to find. There's no reason to assume any person or spirit is attacking you, but there's no harm in doing basic protection stuff to be sure and then meditating on your dreams to figure this out.

Anything is possible. If it is a spirit taking your mother's form, you may want to be more on guard against it. I'm not saying you should distrust it completely, but definitely take what it says with a grain of salt. If your gut is telling you something different from what the spirit says, listen to your gut. You may also want to have a heart-to-heart with any spirit guides or guardians you have, to let them know your fears and concerns. They may be able to either keep the presence away from you, or else assuage your fears if it is a benign presence. There's even a possibility that your guardian/guide is the one using this form. **shrugs** Don't know, as I'm not the one in your head. :)

Thanks for the replies :)

Actually, I don't do any magic...yet (don't know nearly enough to do it safely and correctly, I'm still in the learning process :p)

also, I don't mediate (again...yet)
(though I really should, I just can't clear my head) :(

I actually thought about that after it happened, and also thinking back to the dream that creeped me out, his attitude seemed a little like my father's (Gets annoyed if you ask a question he thinks you should know the answer too)

The first dream, was creepy, these last too, weren't (well the LAST one was a little, but when I heard the voice, it wasn't)

I also thought about this being nothing, I'm a pretty weird person, and my mind wanders a lot, and I've had dreams involving the dialog on TV when I leave the sound up :p

but, these, felt different....

i only do the dream within a dream thing when i realize i'm dreaming and try to wake up. i'll then wake up in the dream, over and over again before finally waking up for real. as for yours, it definitely sounds like a spirit to me, sounds like a very cool experience, maybe a spirit guide.

While I can't analyze your dream, I DO believe in spiritual visits thru dreams. In July 2000, my best friend died very suddenly of a rare pregnancy condition at 24 years old. The day before her funeral, her mother asked me if I could do an eulogy type thing. That night, I has this "dream" which was more vivid & clear then any other I've ever had. In it, her & I were driving along a beautiful mountain road & knew she had passed on. I asked her if she was scared & she said no, it was just a little weird. I told her I'd miss her & she said she'd miss me too, but I better not do alot of bawling at her funeral...that was SOOOO her! The next day at her funeral, I got thru with very few tears. I know she was proud & I know it was that "dream" that got me thru.

Shortly after that (and this wasn't a dream), I got to see her baby for the first time. Sadly, she never got to see or hold him. When my Mom handed him to me, the strangest, yet warmest feeling came over me. The best way to describe it is that I didn't feel like me. My Mom said I went into a sorta blank, quiet trance. I believe she held him thru me. Of course, there are lots of people who dismiss that as wishful thinking or me just flat at being nuts.
