glowing algae

anyone ever heard of an energy connection to the glowing algae that we get alot here on the west coast? The tides break and it glows, it's really pretty, but it makes me feel like there's a lot of excess energy there.

phosphorus, common in ocean water, glows when exposed to air.
if you've ever been on a ship at night, you will have seen the 'flame' that breaks over the bow .
there are also many different algaes that glow under the right light conditions, as do many deep water life forms.

oh I know all about the techincal reasons why it glows, but i meant from a spiritual standpoint. it just generates energy and I was wondering if anyone else noticed.
