I was just wanting too see if there was anyone from here or there...I live in Newnan, Georgia. My family lives just north of Montgomery, Alabama. I'm in Alabama every other weeked to visit them. We lived in Acworth, Ga in 2000. Then moved back to Montgomery for a year. then we moved to Auburn for a few months. Then to here in 2001. I like the area. But I still don't know anyone around here. (I'm a terribly shy person!)

I know where both Augusta and Douglasville is!! I've never been to Augusta though. And it's been a while since I've been to Douglasville. We were thinking about moving over there, but I know how bad traffic can get on I20!! UGH My hubby works all over Atlanta and has to drive an hour or more to work everyday. Douglasville would put us closer, but the traffic would do no good!!

Wanderer and I live in Montgomery, though neither of us are actually from Alabama. :) We're planning on going to the Auburn Pagan Pride Day, though - will you be there?

Hi-
For finding other pagans in your area, I’d recommend using the witchvox local groups area (www.witchvox.com - at the bottom of the page), and also checking for CUUPS (Cov. of UU Pagans) chapters: http://www.cuups.org/content/chapters/chapterlist.html , or even just check out local UU churches – there are often a lot of pagans there – so mingling and/or posting a notice on their bulletin board usually works.
Here are the ones in Ga and Al:

Hey, here's at least one CUUPS chapter - sounds like it's growing too:

in AL:

I bet there are a lot of similar people in the area!

I bet that Pagan Pride Day will be a lot of fun!

I didn't know Auburn had a Pagan Pride Day. When is it?
DO you know where Millbrook is? That's where my family lives. My hubby and I used to live in Montgomery though. And I have a sister that lives there--she works at Jackson Hospital. My hubby and I used to work at the arcade in Eastdale Mall.

Yeah, I know where it is, though I've only been up that way once or twice. :) The Auburn Pagan Pride Day is this Saturday, from 12 to 7, at the Arboretum. I had a hard finding it, too - I think I finally found it on the Pantheon website. :)

I used to live in Opelika. My hubby worked at the game room in the mall in Auburn. We lived there about a year before moving to Auburn. We still go to AUburn every now and then. We pass thru it all the time going to visit my family in Montgoemry/Millbook.

I live in Atlanta (obviously), four years I lived in Augusta (I have a home there still), nine years in Savannah, and one year in Bayou la Batre south of Mobile. I was born up north, so I guess you could call me a "Damned Yankee", but I grew up here in the South.
