help with parents

any one have any advise on how to deal with christian parents who are not cool with having a pagan daughter. I'm gettin alot of hell from my dad he wont listen to me or let me explain. he just keeps telling me im a devil worshiper and it sux advise from anyone else who has had this problem or just anyone in general

I have similar issues with my mother, and with people at school. I'm fifteen and this makes it sooo difficult, I know. The only thing that I've done that has actually helped things a bit, is just lay low for a while, try to let things blow over. And try not to get upset, I know this is the hardest thing cuz your parents arent being very accepting of who you are, but just try your hardest. Imagine that you're in a bubble that his harsh words cant break through, it helps alot. Once things settle down a bit, be very calm about this, dont yell back at him or things will just get heated again. And tell him that he cant change who you are, or what you believe. You are who you are and he cant do a damn thing about it. He'll probably argue a lot about that, but what I'm saying is the truth, he cant change it, though he may try, he can only do it if you let him break your shell. When things are calmer, it might be easier for you to explain. He's still in shock about this whole thing, its a phase that may last a while until he understands.

If it was me, I wouldn't explain anything. I would just smile, pat his arm and tell him that I used to believe in fairy tales too.

I too have issues. I've tried explaining things but to no avail. What have you told them? That we don't even have a devil figure in our deity structure? anything like that. Keep your head up though and don't give up.

I'm a little worried about what's gonna happen when I tell my dad...

I mean, he's gonna find out when I go home for the Holiday's, and we've never been religious but, his mother was, and my uncle is (we go to my uncle's house every year)

gonna be interesting, but you know what? there's not a damn thing they can do about it, I am who I am, and they're just gonna have to deal with that.
