View Full Version : riding the wheel

why is it that one can ride a wheel for years and years and then for no reason what so ever, just fall off. Its not like riding a bike because you cant get back on. I have learned about almost every religion, every hermetic and shamanic path, discussed philosophy so old that its bindings crack and chip, and at the end of it all, all I have is the knowledge not of what I gained, only what I have learned.
How long will I dance with God before my feet stop moving and I can finally rest. Maybe the wheels that I have ridden broke because I did not create them, only rode what others had handed down.
Where does faith in ourselves and faith in God tie in? Why do I feel it nescissary to;even though I have never tasted what that truly meant?
There are many times in our lives that we sit blind to divinity and let it walk by us. It is one and the same, faith ourselves and faith in God, it is the going about getting there that I have to live vicariously threw others, for some wrong I made in a past life, all the potential inside this vessel lay dormat. It is my punishment to understand all too much and never be able to act on it. Share with me your thoughts on creation and his purpose in gifting us with the things that most cannot accept, I would like to peice them all together into something I can reflect on in good light. For it is threw the eyes of our brothers that we precieve truth.

:) I think it has something to do with complacency, Lumberjack. It's very easy to become too comfortable on the wheel we're riding and pay no attention to where we are on it or where it's taking us. We simply ride, content to let life carry us as it may, until we hit a big rock and go flying into the philosophical mud.

If we're all travelers, that means we do have some power over where we're going. ;) Life doesn't happen to us - we create our lives, both through our actions and through our reactions to what does happen to us.

Well if this sister may speak.....

The universe gives us a diverse education. sometimes it is clear as to the where and why of it and sometimes we have to go forth seeking for the answers. I agree with Pheonix-blue has said. We came here to learn. How we see diety and precive the lessons we are learning is such an indvidual thing. My lifes lessons arre surely different than prehaps yours. Maybe we are just supposed to learn and go forward gathering the information for a later time and place and even life. Who really knows. The wheel turns and we ride often falling off, and maybe climbing back if it stops for us. Life is a great mystery....but ah what a totally wonderful on to unravel.

I disagree....we stumble and we fall, but we get back up and continue...and whether you think it or not, you've gained from the experience. Even when your mind can't perceive it, your soul has gained something in the process.

Only you can answer that one. If you believe in reincarnation, then I suppose you'll keep on dancing until you've reached the level of enlightment that satisfies you and your god.

Maybe it's similar to some adopted children who long to know where they came from, who their biological parents were. It's just a longing to know where we came from...and who our creator is, and does he love us. We're all trying to achieve oneness...sometimes we think we achieve it thru a life partner, and sometimes we find it in our faith.

I agree with Phoenix Blue...sounds like perhaps you've become complacent. We all are given freedom of choice...sometimes those choices don't come easily. If you're just on the wheel for the ride, what can you learn from it....take the wheel and go and explore.

Well, SpiritualLumberJack, I'm guessing from your other posts here you're probably just going on a bit about being frustrated/tired/spiritually blah rather then looking for answers. I can't give you any answers, but I totally know how you feel. Somedays it feels like it's too tiring huh?
