I was wondering, does anybody know if negative (or any other) energy can pass through the net? I'm of the old ways and don't know much about this new tech stuff. I know it sounds weird, but I am serious.

Energy passes through time and space. So, energy doesn't move through the net per se. However, the net can forge relationships between people, for better or for worse, which makes it easier for a person at a distance to be able to access you, and therefore send energy your way. But I don't think energy actually moves through the internet, so to speak, anymore than it moves through my television.

Thank you, Revelation. That makes sense.. You seem to be quite knowledgeable. What about casting energy circles? Is that another thread?

Erm, what *about* casting energy circles? What's your question?

Well, do you know anything about glamours?

Um ...

Trying to figure out what glamouree has to do with energy circles?

Err, no, I don't, but like Mairwen, I have no idea what one has to do with the other.

...don't ya remember the old "Atom" comics? He could shrink himself to the size of an electron, & travel down telephone & telegraph wires.

Any energy transmitting/receiving device can potentially transmit/receive metaphysical energies. But why bother to go to the trouble to send energy through the Net, or phone, or radio, etc, when you can send it directly through the "ether", & not be relying on an electronic connection?

In other words, it could happen, but it ain't likely.

If you think someone is trying to possess you through your computer, just sage it real good. :D

hehe

Interestingly enough, my husband once had a situation where someone was trying to just cause a little trouble for him. Showing up in his dreams, and such. He'd wake up with these little "tentacle" like energy links on him, like they were trying to connect with him to send him energy.

He was also having computer problems at the time, it kept shutting down or crashing or rebooting for no reason, and just all sorts of things that seemed to happen more often than they should. He opened up the case to clean it out, and sensed these little tentacle things on the computer too!

He actually did a sage cleansing of the computer and put a protective spell for it, and voila! problems went away.

Coincidence? I think not! :D

It just goes to show you never can tell with these things. We regularly cleanse our computers now.

okay, thanks again, I have cleared my house with sage, but never the computer. What do I do?

Same principle... just smudge it. If you wanta be REALLY thorough, open the case & smudge the "innards", but personally, I think smudging the outside would be adequate.

If that doesn't seem to work, drive a stake through it's hard drive, or shoot it with a silver bullet...

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Er, um... sorry... :)

I wasn't actually saying I think My computer is possessed. It was just a question. Thanks. Do I have to keep thanking you everytime you answer my questions? Does it matter what kind of sage you use? best to grow your own? Right now I use mountain sage from California, but I've seen a blend of sages that looks intresting. Any way, babble, babble.. does it matter?

Hi Sunday's Child,

Sage is just one protective/cleansing agent you can use, it is very good, and I don't think you have to worry about it, probably if you grow it yourself it would be great, but no necessary, I have Sage smudge sticks that I buy online which work just fine.

You could also use any incense that is for protection/cleansing... dragon's blood, frankincense, myrrh, lavender, all of those are good.

Clove is also good.

And yes, energies travel across telephone, cable, electrical, etc, lines. Only makes sense, since they're energy transports, yes?

Yeah, I figured as much. It just comes out. If I try to hold it in, I'll rupture somethin'...
Thanks. Do I have to keep thanking you everytime you answer my questions?
No. Just leave milk & cookies. ;)

As the others mentioned, there are many things you can use. Sandalwood incense, cedar, or sweetgrass are all good, too.
