I got this off of my local community center's email circle. They are basically the first and are helping people in other areas get thier own started. This is from our director. It is terrible to see this kind of thing happen. Please read the whole post as it is several emails. i don't personally have all the details but thought you would like to see this as it can happen in your area.

Subject: New Community Center in Crisis
Recently a community center opened in Canada. I have encluded some
messages for you to read as their dreams and vision was torn from
them.
They lasted one weekend folks. The fates did not smile sweetly on our
Canadian brothers and sisters.
Among all of our angst and struggles we have here in North Texas, we
have much to be thankful for as you will see when you read their heart
felt posts.
Keep their 'community' in your hearts, and remember how lucky we are
here.

FINALLY...!!!!
The Wiccan Centre is Finally having it's Grand Opening... Friday,
June 1 at 2803 Center Street N. (Calgary) from 8:00 - on! Entrance is
free, so come and join us... of course you MUST be 18+ to attend.
(byob if you desire)
The kick off night is a big party ... and by the following Monday the
Holistic appointments and classes will begin! Our first Full Moon
Ritual is Tuesday, June 5 -
Come check it out... bring a towel if you are interested in using the
hot tub and see what all is being offered! Hope to see you there...

The Wiccan Centre has been an idea generating over the last couple
months... it will be a Holistic healing centre by day... offering
Reiki, Massage Therapy, Ear candling, and more...
It is a teaching centre by night (on weekdays) offering courses on
Wicca, Shamanism, Druidry, Belly dancing, Archery and Swordplay
(through Dragon's Own) Ear Candling Certificates, and Herbology. We
will also have a plethora of people available offering Tarot
readings, Palmistry, Numerology, and Astrology... and we will be
doing classes of these topics also.Then there is the spa... just a
hot tub and Shower for now,... though we are hoping to get a sauna
built in time. It is 18+ because it is clothing optional, weekend
evenings are open as a club, where liquor will be consumed... we are
getting a pool table and foos ball for an adjoining space... and
beyond all that... when we took a serious look at how the Christian
community views us, we thought the over 18 rule was good prevention
to comments of "corruption of Youth". So... that's the deal...
imagine how much better it will be when you can join us... all the
snags worked out, and classes in full swing!

Dear Calgary Pagans:
Let me begin by asking for an apology from the Wiccans of Alberta ...
The Wiccan Centre which I advertised, had a nasty turn of events. As
in, the Curator of the centre who created the leaflets and posters
left us high and dry the night of the Grand Opening. Regardless... it
was fairly successful... and even better recieved the following
evening. By Saturday evening we had already had the June schedule 3/4
mapped out... had 18 different teachers lined up, and the Holistic
Appointments were being filled.
But on Monday when we entered the centre, we were greeted by 2
members of the Calgary Youth Groups, who apparently had a lease on
THAT VERY BUILDING!!! We were set up! They had come about to convert
us lost souls over to "The Right Path" - in the 3 months we had been
dealing with the curator, we had no idea how used we were.
It is early Friday morning now... all OUR members have had their
money returned, we have personally contacted more than 100 people to
apologize... and the worst part is that now the need seems stronger
than ever for a REAL TRUE Wiccan Centre. I would have to say, that a
centre is extremely necessary... the response has been unreal, but as
we were involved in this ABOMINATION, I feel less inclined to take on
another project of this magnitude.
If ever there was someone with more money and time than they know
what to do with... a Wiccan Centre is just what the doctor ordered.
We are still recieving upwards of 40 calls a day in regards to it...
it would be soooooooooo worthwhile.
Please forgive my enthusiasm for a project I should have researched
more thoroughly. My partner Wolf and I put in months of hard effort
painting, plumbing, moving furniture, advertising, cleaning,
decorating and creating a centre...none of it with pay... because we
believed so strongly in this venture. I tell you this, not for
sympathy, but to express how strong and true our convictions are to
this community. I hope you can find it in your hearts not to
ostrasize us from the community for this error in judgement.
I thank you for your support and am sorry to have disappointed this
entire community...

One bombshell after another!!!
The man who was a part of the "Wiccan Centre"... the man who does or
does not hold the lease to the centre... Charles MacPherson is none
other than Tearlach Barra Eoin Ros Dunsford Mac a'Phearsoin. Does
this name ring a bell to you? It Should. He is the Imperial Wizard of
the Confederate Klans of Alberta... the KKK!
Now are you scared? You want to know what a dangerous man he is? I am
just now reading Warren Kinsella's "Web of Hate" and from page 22 on,
the evil that is this individual will make your hair STAND ON END!
Here is the first bit on him fom "Web Of Hate - Inside Canada's Far
Right Network" by Kinsella, published by Harper Collins 1994;

"Meet Terlach Barra Eoin Ros Dunsford Mac a'Phearsoin, professional
herbalist, registered minister of the National Spiritist Church,
maligned Ku Klux Klan leader, convicted criminal and modern heir to
the legacy of John J. Moloney.
Mac a'Phearsoin is one of Canada's more elusive white supremacist
leaders; he rarely grants interview requests. When he is finally
pressured into attending one, in a small room in a deserted building
in northeast Calgary, he comes armed witha tape recorder and a dozen
or so strangly worded letters testifying to his good character. (*I
have seen these*) In person he is somewhat shy, sheilding his eyes
behind a tinted pair of perscription glasses; he favors suits, and
his beard is kept neatly trimmed. He does not drink or smoke. (*He
smokes ALOT now*)
When asked a question he does not like, he flips through sheafs of
documents covered with his spidery handwriting, hoping to change the
subject, or he launches into an obscure dissertation about Moloney or
the true history of the Invisible Empire. He is clearly defensive
about his beloved Klan, repeatedly insisting - as so many other far
right leaders do - that it is not anti-Semitic or white supremacist
but merely "a white Christian fraternal organization". To buttress
the point, he even produces his resume, which states, among other
things, that he "assists the Alberta Human Rights Commission with
regards to matters of concern to the Alberta Jewish Community"
It goes on and on! Get the book... it's a frightening read. What's
more... there is no way to know that he is not on an egroup and that
now he knows too. We have been instructed not to write anything...
but it is IMPERATIVE THAT NO ONE GO OVER THERE!!!!! It is not safe.
But if you find any of those HEINOUS leaflets in your travels about
town PICK THEM UP AND SHREAD THEM PLEASE!!!!
It was my ignorance not to check him deeper than I did... I am
responsible for bringing very nice people into his lair...never my
intention...good intentions gone awry, you might say. I thank you all
for all your support... I just wanted to let you know what I found
out!
