Does anyone use trance as a divinatory tool?

I'm speaking solely in terms of trance or facination (not in conjunction with another form of divination.)

I've not tried trance, I meditate regularly, have done other forms like astral travel, but not trance. I have seen others go into a trance for the purpose of channeling, but I have not ever tried it myself. Does anyone have any pointers on how to do this?

I don't use trance for divination, but I do regularly use it as a form of meditation, by trance-dacing to a zaar rhythm.

I actually fall into trance at sometimes inopportune times! (LOL) Others in my family have expressed the same happening to them, so I guess it runs in my family. I can use drumming, estactic dancing, circle dancing to put me into trance. I also use facination a lot in my personal workings. (ie, moongazing, candle gazing, crystal gazing, etc.) When I go into trance sometimes though, I wind up getting flashes of future events. I also have had a "bleeding through" effect when looking at pictures, paintings, etc. What I mean by that is I transfer my consciousness into the subject of the picture, and can feel what the person was feeling when the picture was taken. I can hear what they were thinking, feel their physical state at the time and see what they were seeing.
If you would like, I can talk about some specific methods of trance work, precautions, etc.

Would you like me to explain group trance a little bit? I am a little experienced in this, but haven't practiced it in a while. By group I mean anything more than one person.
Let me know!

It cannot be stressed enough,
if you have nowhere positive
to visit, it can be disastrous.

When my precognition takes ahold of me, I go into something like a trance.......but I can't control it in any way. And it leave a headache after.

How often does this happen? Can you describe the state that you go into?

Not very often. Actually, when I was in high school, it happened about once or twice a month, but I didn't want it and worked really hard to make it go away. It's happened once since then, last week, and it was very very intense, so I'm worried they're coming back. I sort of dread the next one, because I know it's coming.......
When it happens, I don't see anything in front of me for about two or three seconds at a time. It's replaced with some other scene to which I'm an invisible observer. Then it goes away, and I see again, but I'm light-headed and can't concentrate and feel disconnected and fuzzy, and maybe a second or two goes by before I get another image. It can go on like that for 20 minutes, with different images, but not always in proper sequence. Or I can just get a single image, or two images, and then it vanishes. Then the light-headedness goes away, and I feel connected to the earth again. But the snippets will keep replaying in my head for hours sometimes, depending on how strong the experience is.

Per our discussion in the chatroom. It sounds like you said, a premonition or a vision.
