Quick, stupid question about annointing candles

I was just wondering, isn't annointing candles with oils dangerous since oils are flammable? Please explain; I'm puzzled. :confused: 8O

I've yet to encounter an essential oil that burns explosively (it's not like putting gasoline on there). Unless you're putting your lit candle into a barrel of essential oil, I don't think you'll have any problems. :)
