Negativity is very normal and healthy. However, there seems to be a slew of it happening here now – on this board.
Thought I might pep things up a bit.
This thread, that I am proposing, is quite positive. I wish to share a good "positive" story and I encourage all of you to share the same.
It is easy to frown upon our lives and others but it takes strength and courage to share a "happy" story.
Here goes – and keep it simple. BTW, this will most likely be the toughest thing you write.
I walked into a convenience store this morning. An elderly man walked in behind me but was far slower then I expected – he seemed to be looking for something in his pocket while I held the door for him. He did say, “Thank you” and I was pleased at just that.
My purchase seemed to take longer then his but, he held the door for ME when I left. I said, “Thank you, Sir and Bright Blessings”. He replied with a hearty “Thank you. You too”.
This brought a grand smile upon my face.

I am always happy to see my kids playing happily together. My son, 1, and my daughter, 8, laughing and giggling at each other always makes me happy. I'm glad my daughter truly loves her younger brother and doesn't resent him. He was a gift to her and I think she will see him in the same light. :D

I have a friend who tends toward the dramatic. She was getting really stressed out towards the end of the school year, and was completely fed up with some of the...less pleasant of our classmates. She was seething, practically livid, and I'd spent much of the day soothing and placating, being peacemaker and confidant. The daily mantra:"What they do doesn't matter, the day's almost over, the year's almost over, in two years we're out of here, it will be ok, don't worry about it, don't let it get to you..." By the end of the day I was really tired, her unhappiness had spread to me. She was on her way toward the door when she turned back, smiling broadly. She said,"Jess,I'm so glad to have you!"
I glowed for the rest of the day. :D
P.S. My real name is Jess. :) I bet you got that.

This thread!
I have been having a rough couple of days, minor crud, but it seems like nothing is working out and everything breaks, there's no money, or whatever. My kids are making me batty and I have so much to do and no time to do it in and I am just drawing in all this ...."ick" (for lack of a better word :)) to me. I just now took a deep breath and I feel so much better.
I have two happy and healthy kids, a roof over my head, and am going away for three days with my parents lake house in PA. (erm, that is, if I ever get packed!!!)
You guys rock! Thanks for giving me some of this wonderful postive energy. It must be contagious!!!

Try the summer thread in the arts and crafts for things to keep kids busy and then take them on a walk to look at all the things out there. Seeing the wonder and newness in their eyes should briong it back to yours.

we went to *blush* the N'sync concert tonight....it was delayed due to lightning for about 45 mins....they finally went on and (literally) the second they went on it started pouring rain!! ping pong ball sized rain drops...usually, this would have upset me...instead I looked up into the lights at the rain falling...and just started dancing and enjoying myself!! it was beautiful....:)

This morning I had three cups of coffee all in a row. :D:D I am now very very happy. The best part is that my mom went food shopping and while there she actually realized that we were out of regular coffee and picked up a HUGE jar specifically for me, as I'm the only one who drinks it. :D:D Made me all tingly inside. Even before the caffeine kicked in.

Everyone has bad days, even weeks. For that, we feel for you - and I feel pretty good about saying that I speak for the community on this.
Share with us the best thing that has ever happened to you. That might take the burden off off the bad.

I had an incredible experience on Midsummer actually. I went to the park near my house, some of which is less a park and more a mini-jungle, and just wandered around in the rain, barefoot, squishing my toes in the mud and eating the raspberries and mulberries I found. It wasn't as energetic and exuberant a day as I had been expecting, but something must've happened, because half the time I felt like Faerie was only steps away.

I have had a truly magickal week!
At class on Tue night we discussed chakras and I think that I am going to focus my studies in that direction. On Thrus evening we went to a wonderful Solstice Celebration and picnic and it was just great. Then I had a dream come true. Then Sat we went to circle and the house was full and there were two new babies, one 3 weeks old and one was born while we were in class on Tue. They were precious! Sun we went to a national forest and this small lake and I felt the presence of the Earth and elements all around me and thrilled in it! I have been very blessed and I wanted to share it with you. :D
May you all Be Blessed!

I'm glad to you had a great week. The lake sounds very special. Do you consider it your special place?
I have one. Out in the middle of the Mojave dessert there is a small river. Sometimes it appears dry and lifeless. I learned from the animals that you need only dig a few inches into the sand and you will find plenty of water - very pure - from a natural spring near by. I feel close to the Goddess there.
I am also going to a Drum Circle this weekend. I am so looking forward to it that the week seems to be dragging; it's only Monday though.
*sigh*
It will come.
