Happy Solstice everyone - can anyone tell me anything about the Goddess Hera/Juno? In Z. budapest's book, The Grandmother of Time, she is mentioned as a Goddess who bestows power for change, inspires the wealthy to do socially responsible things with their money, helps politicians to do the right thing for the people, and when unheeded, can lay low the most arrogant of those in power. I'm looking for information that goes beyond what is seen in most Greek/Roman mythology, how she was the wife of Zeus and spent most of her time changing his mistresses into various woodland creatures. We are focusing on positive political change tonight, taking part in the rolling blackout and making postcards and stamps available for the I Am project (e-mail me if you don't know about these things celticgardens@earthlink.net). I want to avoid her commonly known spurned woman image and focus on her ability to give courage to the downtrodden. Z.'s book is the only place I've found any of this information. Does anyone have any suggestions?
