View Full Version : I need your help again....

I feel selfish for coming to you all again. My situation hasn't improved, rather it has gotten worse...much worse. I need your help more than I can say right now. I don't know what to say, so I'll just tell the truth.
Tomorrow, rent is due. After paying rent, we're left with about $100 dollars. For food, necessities and bills. I'm so scared. I don't want to be homeless. Rob keeps the financies hidden from me because he knows I worry. I asked him to tell me, and he did.
I do have an interview with Auntie Anne's Pretzel shop on Thursday. It is through my Aunt's friend (who is the district manager) but I am still very worried I won't get the job because of my looks.
I ask for job ju-ju. If I don't get this job, I don't think we'll have shelter for much longer.

Hi again sweetie - good luck and energy coming your way. :)
I just want to suggest something - perhaps this is not the way it is and perhaps it won't apply to you but I just think that it may be worth a read. It is not meant to offend because I would never do that - I just want to give you an honest idea. That said ..... ((((hugs))))))
Quite often people can subconciously detect our energy - and if you are thinking that you won't get the job because of your looks before you even go into the interview- there is a chance that you might not - even though looks might not be the deciding issue - it may be the negative vibes that you are sending out that manifest themselves in self-confidence. I do hiring at the store that I work at - and looks have NEVER never never been an issue, but confidence always makes or breaks the interview. If someone is pleasant and friendly and can talk to me then they will get the job because of the company that they provide. What I mean is, ultimately, your boss will have to work with you, and if they enjoy your company then you become more "hire-able". I think that you shouldn't worry about the jerks out there that care only about the way a person looks - Because at the end of the day NONE of us are TRUELY happy with the way that we look - ALL of NOrth America has an obsession and depression about themselves. Some people learn to fake it better than others, thats all. :)
PLUS not EVERYONE judges people based on appearances. I think that you have to remember that. You MUST know that already unless you truely beleive that there are no good souls left on the planet. (that would be so sad rayne ! it's not true, I swear ! ) SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE EACH OTHER FOR WHO THEY REALLY ARE. there are MANY many (SO MANY !) people that look on the inside and many more that like people because they are good people. Really - there are- .
Focus on the positive sweetie - your good qualities and what you can provide the business with.
You're a great person - you have proven that in this forum time and time again - you are compassionate and think about others. You have good ideas, you are artistic and creative (I saw that gorgeous banner !) and you have PLENTY of good things to offer any potential employer. I think you should spend a day pampering yourself and reminding yourself how great you truely are - and then go on in there and knock their socks off !
Love and blessings and so many hugs,
chrys

Sending positive thoughts and energy your way. I know what you are going thru. We pay rent today--my hubby's paycheck is a little over $900, I think it's $925. We pay $783 in rent (cheapest place to live around here). Then we owe a $120 electric bill, $80 gas bill(2 months together)$120 for car insurance and a $30 phone bill. We pay alot of bills every other month because we can't afford to pay it each month, like our gas bill. We have a 1 yr old daughter--childcare is $200-$300 a week and we don't know anyone around here (my family is 2 1/2 hrs away)so I don't work. Well, I can't work-- all the money I'd make would go to childcare, so it's a fruitless idea.
Good luck on your job. I hope everything works out for you. I hate to know that we're not the only ones in this situation. It's unfair.

Oh, have I ever been there - and I was so scared, too! You first need to take a very deep breath, and determine that whatever happens, you will get through this. When I take stock and remember to count my blessings I always feel better. You have love, which is the greatest wealth in the world. Ivy Celtress is right, so I join her in sending confidence, as well as some wisdom, and faith in yourself and the abundance of the universe. Best to you.
