As an intro. I would recommend reading Dion Fortune's "The Sea Priestess", the 1956 S o I L version as it is un-cut (all other edititions have been cut by AT LEAST 40+ pages) followed by her "Moon Magic".

Another superb book is "The Forgotten Mage" (Col. Charles Seymour) who became, with Christina Hartley) the HP and HPs of the S o I L's 'IN-DEPTH' Rituals. After DF "went Christian", it was Col. C.S. and C.H. who brought the Society back to its Isian roots.

e-mail me for further info if you wish. BB: Martin

Here are a few other books on Isis:

"Isis in the Ancient World" by R. E. Witt (a scholarly history of Isis worship.)

"The Veil of Isis: or, Mysteries of the Druids" by W. Winwood Reade (an older book out as a reprint, but I'm not sure how accurate the history is.)

"The Mysteries of Isis" by DeTraci Regula (a good all-round handbook on modern Isis worship by a modern pagan.)

"The Pillars of Isis" by Vivienne O'Reagan (another modern pagan author who describes how she worships Isis.)
