Just a quick question..
Does anyone know how to find other pagans in your general location?
Don't get me wrong, this site is great, I've really enjoyed reading the posts here, but I am basically brand new to all of this, and it would be nice to be able to talk to someone ( either in person or via Instant Messages etc. ) If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it :)

You can also try www.meetup.com and see if there are any Pagan groups in your area.

My advice is to look in the profiles of people on this forum. Most of them include MSN/YIM/AIM/ICQ or some combination of them. And logically, if they didn't want people to message them, they wouldn't put the info in a public profile, so they must actually want people to message them. Find a person you find interesting, and strike up a conversation.
My info's in my profile, for example.

Also, keep looking in your own area. I've met loads of fellow Pagans since I started uni, simply because my intuition helped me to identify them. Witchvox is an excellent resource for local Pagan contacts, and so is PaganInkubus's idea about AIM/MSN and all that.
BTW, hi James. :D

What do I do if there are no pagans in my country at all? Even if there are, I can't find them because the country I live in isn't listed in such sites as witchvox :( I feel quite lonely.

silmarien you don't have to have people to work with. Some people are not as lucky to have other pagans where they live, some are. There are plenty of people online that are willing to help and nowdays we even have cybercovens. Some branches of paganism have been practiced alone in private for thousands of years.

I used to go to the bookstore and kind of "case" the metaphysical section. I would hang around for a little bit, see if anyone came up, peek at the titles they were perusing, and then use that to strike up a conversation.
This is also a good way to pick up guys. :smoke: ahem.

Yes well I want to be a solitary witch and I'm not looking for a person to work together, but someone who speaks my language and shares the same troubles of not being able to find books about witchcraft and else would be a nice pen-pal :chatty:
However I'm content. That forces me to use my English in the net and improve it :reading:

I actually find it suprising that there are not to many Pagans from non-english speaking countries. To me it seems that a majority of the Pagans online are from the U.S., and British Provinces
