ok after my first ritual aboput 6 months ago.
(I had forgotten to ground myself when i was done duuur)
I became very sexual feeling, like I wanted to..... realllllllllly bad.lol
i was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen?

I don't get the 'pre' sexual feeling after a ritual; for me it's more like the 'after' sex feeling... you know, the euphoric, I can't move feeling.

I'm glad WhiteDragon had the testicular fortitude to post that question because I simply wouldn't have been brave enough. (I'm way too modest) However, since others seem to have run into that experience I'd have to also answer 'yes'.:bigredblu

Ahem, So what exactly causes this!? Could somebody who has some experience clue me in to what causes arousal during and/or after a ritual....:confused:

Well ummm...yes. I have it is natural no worries there. What causes it might be the amount of energies flowing through our bodies and so when it hits the area in question it is ....OH MY!!!

I think a D. Lipp actually pointed it out in her book Elements of Ritual. I've never actually experienced this but I haven't done much ritual. However I think it is from the mass amout of energy flowing through your body.

I would definately have to agree with Dragonsinger. I think it's due to the amount of energy that we have running through our bodies when we are doing a spell. That is why it's so important to ground yourself...and it's also why afterwards you can feel very tired and drained of 'energy.' But i have to say that it's happened to me too!

uhm.....ok, I must be doing something wrong, but I usually experience a feeling of just being really aware and awake right after ritual, and once I finally get wound down enough to sleep, it's just a great sound restful sleep.

well this only happend the first time I did a ritual, I had forgotten to ground afterwards and had all that extra energy. It was VERY nice though....

I'm on the yes wagon. And I agree, there should be a warning. LOL If you have partners who aren't doing circle with you, warn them to have the bedroom set up when you get back.*giggle*

MM all,

I once broached this topic at another forum and they didn't understand where it was I was coming from (no pun intended!) but I do feel very 'tuned in' during certain rituals. During a Samhain one about 4 years ago, I had to excuse myself to erm .... sort myself and my lower clothing out ... I had a sort of trouser tent arrangement going on.

I think though that all of these things are perfectly natural and when they happen, they happen. A lot of people see these type of things as being wrong and distasteful but I just went with it in the end. When you are raising these sorts of energies, perhaps we shouldn't be so surprised when other things get raised as well.
