Travel Witch!!

Ok, I'm a youth worker and I have just got a new job for a year witch means I will be travelling, so does anyone have any good ides or recommendations of stuff that I should take with me? and ideas on how to transport it! I'm only travelling from South England up to North England (Guildford to Manchester) so there is not customs or anything!

errr.... herbs, as I'm into herblism, small candles (I have decided on tea lights as thier small and light) and a few oils, and of course me wand, challice and athame! but I want to know if there are any particallar things that should be taken with me when travelling, and how should I carry them, should they be in a special bag, box etc.... or in the rest of my lugguage?

If you're talking about magickal things (ie your altar) to take with you, I have an idea for you. A girl I once knew used to have a little 'tackle' box, of sorts (actually it really was a small tackle box!), filled with her 'travel altar'. This consisted of her altar cloth, her pentacle, some little vials of oils and powders (whatever she had at the time), a small athame and the cutest little silver chalice, and I mean little, but it served its purpose. She also had a few candles and her 'travel Book of Shadows' (just a little spiral notepad with the essential ritual info). It was big enough to fit a little of everything in it and small enough to pack into her suitcase when she went roamin'. I certainly hope this helps! And I hope that this is what you meant, or I've written a novel for nothing! LOL!

As far as herbs go...you might want to ask the folks in The Green Room forum. They might be able to tell you specifics that you can take with you. ;)

i'd be rather careful about the athame, from what i've been hearing from british friends the cops over there are getting rather tight arsed about anything that even faintly resembles a "weapon" of any sort.

(these days i'd be careful even about carrying a skean dhu in britian)

Toss it all in a bag. What really matters is how you use it. Form of transport matters not. How are you traveling? By Plane or Bus? You will still be you when you get there in either case.;)
