when do you get comfortable??

So when do you get comfortable with the cards to trust what you see?? I haven't done too many readings and the ones i do are for me really?? I love my deck i use(sacred circle!). Learning it well i think i am. But when i read everyones reading they all sound so easily done? I wonder will i ever get to that point?? The minor cards are my problems i think?? i just can't get the meaning down right?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Tigger,

I don't know if you ever really get comfortable, as the one card can produce MANY different meanings. It's your intuition you have to trust. I'm still learning to do that. Doing readings here help me out immensely! I get to read for other people, without having to look them in the eye and wonder if they think I'm crazy....and I just type what I feel the card is saying. Most the time I get feed back that what I interpreted was correct. <shrugs shoulders> ...and I am thinking....can this be right? Well, just remember, the cards are a glimpse into another's life and their life can be MUCH different from ours.

My readings don't come easily...I get really nervous and afraid I'll screw it all up, and it won't be right. I just can't flip the card over and say...Ah-ha! I look at it, try to remember my keywords, and let the card tell my a story. If I get nothing, then I go to www.learntarot.com/cards.htm and check out her keywords, and possible interpretations, and let my imagination go from there. :D Try reading for others, the meanings will sink in the more you work with the cards. Try daily one card readings, pull a card in the morning, jot down a note or two about it's meaning....then at the end of the day, see how the energies of that card played into your day. It's worth a shot. ;)

YES ...YOU WILL GET TO THE POINT OF BEING COMFORTABLE doing a reading. But it's something you will have to work at/with every day.

I'm trying!! Really i do i shuffle my cards and go through the deck every day. I take an hour to myself and do that i think it's helping!! Just being curious as i don't think i could do anyones reading as of yet as i may not get it right!

I find that if I'm emotionally involved in what I'm trying to read about, the readings aren't clear. That's when I call my Tarot Guru. :D

I don't think there is a right or wrong in the cards and the readers interpretations. I feel that it goes a little like this:

The Reader draws the cards and forms an interpretation. The seeker hears (or in this case reads) the words and further interprets the meaning as it applies.

I do not believe Tarot to be an absolute answer but, rather, a base line to open the seekers mind to new and old ideas. To give cause for change or, enlightenment of the self.

Tigger, Draw a card for me and tell me your thoughts. Do it with confidence and feel it in your heart. I matters not: right and wrong.

I will give you feed back.

Your doing brilliantly!! Spending some time with your deck every day will all come together before you know it ~ somedays/readings will still be difficult but you can bet that soon it will all just click into place :)
Just believe in yourself, in your instincts, gut feelings, in what you see in the cards and what comes into your mind when your looking deep at them ~ you will be right :D

Okay sorry took me so long to get back. Just so busy with the kids.
So i picked this card for you out of my deck which is the sacred circle!
I drew the page of wands. It's a young man holding a lit wand and a fire beside him. there are dragonflies flying around.
The meaning i get from this card is that you have ablities that you haven't quite yet perfected. Not even sure that you know you have them as of yet.

So i hope i did okay!! Please let me know!! thanks!!

Okay so i'm using you as a guinea pig as i was pulling cards today i pulled one for you!

I'm using the Sacred Circle Deck.
I pulled the 3 of discs- dedication. They are 3 discs with faces right above some stones and there are moutains in the background.
This card is the craftsman card. Work that hasn't been fully recongized yet. The card shows me that you have a great craft that you strive to do and work on.
Spirtually you have a natural ablity that you are working on.

Okay so am i way off?? let me know.

The problem for most newbies to Tarot is this idea that you'll "say something wrong" and it will somehow cause the world to implode. It wont!
We all went through it; long before I was steeped in Tarot ( I spend a good hour or more every day going to tarot forums) I wondered and worried and said "OH, No!". You have to become confident in yourself, and for me it was a trial by fire. I was a student in tarot for a couple of years strictly as a study, doing readings for myself but not others and using tarot for spellwork. I also used to sew and made capes and things to sell at psychic faires. One fair I was at I DIDN'T MAKE A RED CENT- but the readers had people lined up out the door! A woman came to my booth asking about why the person ( intuitive, I think) didn't answer her question. I told her she might have better luck with a reader. She appeared a second time and said she had visited someone else and didn't get any better response, and asked me if I would do a Tarot reading for her with the deck I had for sale. I finally agreed and after the fair went out to the hotel lobby with her and read her cards with a deck I didn't like, and must have been pretty accurate! She seemed shocked that I honed in on the affair she was having ( doomed) and paid me -- and I've been a reader ever since!
This is NOT to say that I don't have a shelf of reference books- but they are for reference only. Do not do a reading for someone with a stack of books next to you. Read the cards and go with the flow. You might be surprised how accurate you can be!

Thats great Tiger!! Thanks allot, I am an artist and have my own Aromatherapy Oil company so you got my card spot on! & I am always working with my spirtuallity :)
Good luck with drawing a card for everyone, althought you dont need it ~ you will do brilliantly :D
