I saw an article about this on BME (http://www.bmezine.com), and I wondered what you guys think of the idea? Would you participate in such a project? I think I am probably far too conservative to do it, but as a writer and lover of literature in general, the idea really intrigues me.

On a semi-related note, if you were to choose a single word to tattoo on your body in this fashion, (with the understanding that you could never, ever get removed) what would you choose, and where would you place it?

Not only would I do this, I am going to contact the author to get it done soon. I am usually not a fan of "performance art" - for lack of a better phrase - but this is pretty cool! Thanks for the story!

I do have just one word tattooed on my body (I have six tattoos, but only one of them is a word) - "Magdelena"

Wow! I'm glad I've managed to help further her project! :D Make sure to let us know what word you become!

The more I think about it, the more I seriously consider applying to be a part of this, too. I am untattooed (so far), but have always wanted to be inked. The project is so inspired, I'd like to be involved...I think I will have to check out some of her other, more commonly published works first, though.
