Be careful what you wish for. A love spell to bring back a lover is never a good idea. The repercussions could and probably would be very much what you wouldn't want.

This is for a guy, right? Use at yr. own risk:
Ehi Carmina, ehi!
La dea di magia.
Signora di Lucera.
Ehi Carmina, ehi!
Costringalo a volere.
Prendalo Carmina, ora prenda il mio defissione.
Costringalo a me, trasmettalo, incitilo ad andare.
Sveglilo, Carmina, sveglilo ora, immediatamente.
Rendalo pazzo con amore!

i agree with willowsageheart. too many sources state that love spells are risky and backfire when a specific person is the object of your desire. using magic to attract love without it being directed at anyone, tho, is ok.
blessed be,

I agree with all of you. I have been extremely tempted to use a love spell in the past but never did. If the person you wish to love you doesn't of their own accord then you are actually forcing them to love you by casting a spell on them. Thats messing with free will and a very huge no no in Wicca, i dont think i need to warn you about the threefold if you mess with free will.

Yeah, I was tempted once as well. Unfortunately, I 'bent' the rules a bit. Actually, I broke them. I'm glad for ya, Blossey. Despite what all the books say, I think most of us at one point or another end up doing this.
But then again, we all got to make mistakes and learn from them.

why would you want someone who doesn't want you?

'Tis a good point.

Tyrrhenus, where did you get that spell? Who wrote it? And what is it's intended context? It seems very Christianized... calling the Goddess the wife of Lucifer and dancing around the devil's chair and all. It also seems very... frenzied and demanding... insisting on immediately "forcing" the intended to you, and making them crazy with love... it's not exactly the kind of spell one would use to encourage a long-term relationship anyways.
Any thoughts?

Hey Morrighana, I wrote it myself. The Christianized part is a very obscure reference I put in. In Lucera there is a 10th century castle which has fallen apart. The two exposed floors look like a chair, so the locals call it sedia del diavolo.
... calling the Goddess the wife of Lucifer
Confused about the Lucifer. Are you getting that from Lucera? If so, see note above. However, many Italian witches do use Lucifero as a representative of the male.

That's Right!!! I intentionally wrote it in the style of Cattalus... who used three sharp commands in his love poems.
... it's not exactly the kind of spell one would use to encourage a long-term relationship anyways.
Yes, you're right. maleficent said 'lover' so this isn't meant for long-term.
Morrighana, I'm going to tug at your karma for being so observant. If the pop-up window will let me.

One more point and I promise to shut up. Maleficent have you ever considered the posibility that by hanging on to the idea of this one guy/girl/person –who by the way may not be the one for you- is holding you from meeting the one that is for you?

Ah, thanks for the explanation, Tyrrhenus! As you can probably tell, my Italian is not all that great :D Makes much more sense now.

as i said before i was extremely tempted. I found out my partner had feelings for another woman and after 5 yrs together i never believed this would happen. Eventually we split up and he moved out, i was extremely devestated to say the least, not just from what was happening but more because i knew absolutly and definatly that this wasn't meant to happen, i knew we were meant to be together, i just did, and i was so tempted to cast a spell on him to make him wake up, like the temptation was so unbelievable!!!! Instead i did alot of thinking and maybe a bit of meditation, had a few visions and i felt OK, i came to accept what was happening. Anyway this is getting to long, in the end i accepted what was happening and faced facts, it was out of my control, blah blah, anyway, we are back together, seeing a counsillor, very happy, and my young son is quite happy too, it broke my heart to see him suffering, which made my pain worse.
anyway, sorry it's long xox

I think yr. Italian is pretty darn good...
Now that everyone is here, tell me honestly, in your opinion/s, was it wrong for me to give this to maleficent?
I debated it in my own mind and I came to the conclusion that even though it would be wrong to put this spell out, it would be just as wrong for me do deny someone the experience of the three-fold law. Thanks
Not to hijack yr. thread maleficent.

I was a little shocked. But yes lessons must always be learned plus I rather enjoyed the little conversation about it. Do you mind if I add the spell to my collection?

Go for it SylverStar. Anyone else can add it /change it if they want. I don't care. Anyway, maleficent I hope everything works out for ya.
