Locate a Missing Person Spell?

My good friend's mom has been missing since two days ago. She's really starting to get worried and I'm worried for her too. Does anyone know of an effective spell to locate a missing person? Please and thanks for all your help in finding my friend's mom!

You don't mention the events leading up to the "missing" part. Are you talking about missing like someone kidnapped her, or missing as in she just left? Perhaps you should try divination before casting spells indiscriminately.

Good point. Thanks, Willow. I have talked to my friend a lot, though, and she seems to think that her mom ran away. The police are on it, but I'm really not satisfied with that. She just left for work and never came home.

I too hope that everything works out. Maybe you should use some form of divination. Don't know much about them but maybe a pendulum put over a map and asked for where your friend is might help.

The reason I had asked is that if she left, then perhaps she doesn't want to be found. Using magick to find her would be like playing with her free will and probably not a very good idea.

For divination, I would ask questions like Is she alright? Does she need help? Should you use magick to find her? That sort of thing. She may have very good reasons for leaving. If you still feel you want to use magick, write a spell and then divine whether or not it is the right spell and whether or not it is the right time to use it.

Just my own opinion here, but if I am using magick involving others - especially when those others cannot give me permission - I always use a pendulum to divine what, where, when and why. Hope that helps some, and hope all turns out well.

:floating: Thank you so much, everyone! I thought about it a lot and did NOT want to mess with the Rule of Three, wether or not I would be knowingly breaking it, it's still breaking it. So I scryed and prayed. And scryed and prayed. For HOURS. Three days, nine total hours of sleep and seven pots of coffee later, my dear friend's mother has returned of her own free will.

She had a mental breakdown and that was the cause of her running off, but when she realized what she was doing, she admitted herself to a nearby hospital.

There's still a lot of healing to be done, but I trust that in time, everything will be OK. Thanks for your help, everyone! :)
